[en] A program based on Neural Networks technique was developed for track recognition in ALICE ITS. The efficiency of this program was estimated on Monte Carlo simulated events for particles with pT ≤ 100 MeV/c. The advantages of this program are the high performance, the capability of track finding in conditions of the high particle multiplicity and the ability to find tracks distorted by the multiple Coulomb scattering and the energy losses. 7 refs., 1 tab

[en] A system for detection of optical radiation and on-line diagnostics of special sized of beam and particle density distribution is described. The system is based on two hodoscope photomultipliers, scintillators, fiber optics line of transfer and electronic blocks. The system is intended for beam monitoring at the c-τ- factory and synchrophasotron accelerating complex at energies 20 MeV - 10 GeV and intensity range of 103-108 part./cm2. [en] The structure of the monitor is described. It consists of 5 counters with scintillators-plates in each, and 1 counter with ''comb'' scintillator which are located on the length of 18 m. The monitor provides the beam control, trace and time information measurements, start-up of the detector read-out systems and of the computer. Some examples of profiles of the beam and of the ''comb''-scintillator measurements are presented. The monitor permits to investigate characteristics of drift and proportional chambers, drift tubes, to measure charged particle beam parameters

[en] Results of studies of a position-sensitive scintillation counter are presented. The coordinates of tracks in the counter have been calculated by the centre of gravity of light flash in the scintillator. The light flash distribution has been measured by a system of strip lightguides. The accuracy in measuring the track coordinates of electrons from a 106Ru radioactive source is 3.0 mm. When the tracks are imitated by a collimated light diode (the slit width is 0.8 mm), the accuracy in determining the coordinate light source is 1.27 mm. Studies are presented in the form of the light flash in the scintillator from the 106Ru particles, the collimated light diode and cosmic rays. The intensity distributions from light diode and cosmic rays are well coincide in shape, but distribution width from the radiation source is slightly more
