AbstractAbstract
[en] The branching ratio R=GAMMA(K+→e+γ)/GAMMA(K+→μ+γ) has been measured with an improved version of the apparatus described elsewhere. From 404 observed K+→e+γ decays, R=(2.51+-0.15)x10-5 was obtained, to be compared with the value predicted for pure axialvector interaction and μ-e-universality, Rsub(theor)=2.57x10-5. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Partial branching ratios (K+→π0μ+γ)/(K+→π0e+γ) have been measured in six lepton momentum bins between 120 and 180 MeV/c. From these, six relations between the form factors slopes lambdasub(+) and lambda0 have been derived. Using the world average value lambdasub(+) = 0.029 +- 0.003 and combining the six partial results on lambda0, lambda0 = 0.019 +- 0.010 is obtained. This value is in agreement with the Callan-Treiman relation and other predictions. Together with recent K0sub(l3) results, it supports the ΔI = 1/2 rule. The agreement of this result with the value of lambda0 obtained from Ksub(μ3) Dalitz-plot studies supports muon-electron universality. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The decay K+→e+γγ has been investigated. For the structure-dependent part with positive γ-helicity (SDsub(+)) the branching ratio GAMMA(SDsub(+))/GAMMA(Ksub(μ2)) = (2.33+-0.42) X 10-5 is obtained from 51+-3 events observed in the kinematical region Esub(e) >= 235 MeV, Esub(γ)>48 MeV and thetasub(eγ)>1400. For the corresponding part with negative γ-helicity an upper limit GAMMA(SDsub(-))/GAMMA(SDsub(+))<11 (90% CL) is obtained from the sample of electrons with energies 220 MeV<=Esub(e)<230 MeV and with no γ in the backward direction. This upper limit implies that the ratio of structure-dependent axial vector and vector amplitudes lies outside the region -1.8< asub(K)/γsub(K)<-0.54. For the decay K+ →e+γγanti γ the limit GAMMA(K+→e+γγanti γ)/GAMMA(Ksub(e2))<3.8 (90% confidence level) was found. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recently derived data-to-data (DTD) relations have been applied to elastic and inelastic scattering of 800-MeV protons from 90Zr and 92Zr. Significant differences between the cross sections for the 21/sup ts+/ and 41/sup ts+/ states in the two nuclei suggest that DTD relations between elastic and inelastic cross sections are inadequate. Nevertheless, the DTD relation which predicts the analyzing power (A/sub y/) from the cross section for inelastic transitions yields excellent agreement with the data. The physical significance of the fitting parameters is discussed
