AbstractAbstract
[en] The lifetime of the 738keV level of 43K excited by means of the 40Ar(α,p)43K reaction has been deduced from the distribution of time delays between protons and the decay γ-rays. The half-life was determined as 205+-10ns. This result favors a Jsup(π)=7/2- assignment

[en] The lifetime of the 5.14MeV excited state of 22Ne was investigated by use of the electronic timing, recoil distance and Doppler shift attenuation techniques. A mean life tau=1.2+-0.3ps was obtained, corresponding to a transition strength of 9.8x10-6W.u. for the E1 decay of this state

AbstractAbstract
[en] A synthesis of using carbon foils as stripper for heavy ion beams of 0.5 to 1MeV per nucleon is presented. In particular, the angular dispersion and energy straggling introduced by these foils is analyzed, considering the recent measurements of these quantities made in Strasbourg. (Carbon foils with 5 to 200μ/cm2 thickness were used)

[en] The angular dispersions and energy straggling of Ni, I, and Au ions of energies between 0.4 and 0.9 MeV/nucleon were measured after bombardment of carbon foils in the range of 5 to 200 μg/cm2 in thickness. In these measurements the ions were detected in a Browne--Buechner spectrometer

AbstractAbstract
[en] High spin states 54Mn were populated in the 52Cr(α,pnγ) reaction. Using angular distribution, linear polarization and γ-γ coincidence measurements, the following unambiguous spin and parity assignments were obtained: Esub(x), Jsup(π); 1073keV, 6+; 1784keV, 7+; 1925keV, 7+; 2857keV, 8+ and 3244keV (9)+. In addition a new level was observed at an excitation energy of 3939keV. The experimental data show evidence for low lying intruder states as predicted by a recent shell model calculation

AbstractAbstract
[en] The linear polarization of the continuum γ-ray spectrum following neutron emission was measured in two different systems: 140Ce + 16O → 152Dy at 89 MeV and 148Nd + 16O → 160Er at 76 and 85 MeV. A three-Ge(Li) Compton polarimeter was used. For both nuclei the linear polarization observed for high-energy γ-rays was zero within experimental error. The polarization increased with decreasing energy to a maximum around 500 keV, then fell and became negative around 300 keV. 2 figures, 1 table

[en] States in 160Yb were populated in the 148Sm(16O,4n) reaction at 90 to 110 MeV. The deduced level scheme is presented. Levels up to 30+ were seen; two side bands were also found. The data for the transitions within the bands are consistent with stretched E2 decay. 1 figure
