AbstractAbstract
[en] The existence of lead in steam generators, detected during analysis of deposits in the damaged areas of tubing and in the fracture surfaces of existing cracks, bears out the hypothesis that lead may contribute to the cracking problems arising in the tubing during operation. The lead present in a steam generator, which comes from the turbine, pumb seals, valve packing, liners etc, may form concentrations from 0,02% in the sludge. The fact that the lead comes from different sources limits the scope for controlling this contaminant and makes it difficult to reduce its concentration in the sludge below several hundred ppm. Taking these facts into account, it seems necessary to count on lead being present in new steam generators and to consider the influence of this contaminant on the behaviour of the materials considered as substitutes for Alloy 600. This paper presents the experimental work conducted with a view to determining the influence of the concentration of OPb in caustic environments and under AVT conditions, on the stress corrosion resistance of the nickel alloys used in the fabrication of steam generator tubing. Tests were performed at 320 degree centigree

AbstractAbstract
[en] The yield stress of cubic stabilized zirconia single crystals with yttria concentrations between 24 to 32 mol% has been studied for temperatures of 1400 degree centigree by compression experiments on the <112> crystallographic axis at constant compressive strain rate. The yield stress reaches a value of 300 MOa, remaining constant for the higher concentration studied, and being also independent of the annealing time in air. The plastic behavior is discussed in terms of the interaction of dislocations with the free yttrium defects. (Author) 10 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] A sodium salt of a modified lignosulfonate at different percentages was added to a porcelain stoneware suspension and the effects on the rheological properties of slips and on the mechanical properties of prepared samples were investigated. As the presence of sulfonates groups can change the stability of dispersion, a rheological characterisation was necessary to find the critical concentration to obtain well dispersed suspensions and high MOR values. The suspensions stability was tested by oscillatory measurements and the increase of elastic modulus in the suspension corresponded to a MOR and to Youngs modulus increase as well. Finally, to explain the results obtained by the mechanical characterisation of the prepared samples, a model drawing on the composite materials experience, is suggested. (Author) 7 refs.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Since 1987 when this procedure began in France and them, became popular all over the world, it isn't any doubt that is the best choice for Cholecystectomy in patients with cholelytiasis. We began our experience in 1996 they have been operated 562 patients by this technique over 1839 cholecystectomy until April 2004, which corresponds to a 31%. We have suffered all the changes in the interpretation and application of law 100, which excludes the procedure from the State Obligatory Health insurance and many Promoting health Enterprises prohibit it's practice, essentially because they ignore the good results it has which are similar to open cholecystectomy. We registered our patients and procedures since the beginning of this experience for evaluation, also to compare it with the medical literacy about it and to verify by ourselves the benefits of minimal invasive surgery

AbstractAbstract
[en] The SIMORAC project includes a new system for Radiological monitoring using wireless sensor networks (RSIs), without infrastructure planning in emergency situations for a rapidly deployable by air or land, with the aim of providing a tool emergency teams capable of offering a real time x-ray map within the radius of action of an accident. Communication of quality at a great distance, resistance to weather, long autonomy and possibility of aerial deployment are some of the features of SIMORAC.

[en] In this work it is presented which it is the position more frequent of the solitary thyroid nodules. It was used the method of retrospective longitudinal observational investigation in 125 patients that went to the laboratory for realization of detection of thyroid nodules in the years 2004 and 2005 through gammagraphy.
