AbstractAbstract
[en] Data are presented on topological cross sections for charged particle production in antiproton-proton inelastic interactions at 22.4 GeV/c obtained by scanning more than 260000 pictures from the bubble chamber ''LUDMILA''. Processing and unification of the results obtained at different laboratories, that permitted the effect of systematic errors to be substantially reduced, are described. The characteristics of the anti pp -annihilation process are obtained from the difference in the topological anti pp and pp cross sections

AbstractAbstract
[en] Scaling in the mean and associative multiplicities are studied for K sub(s)sup(0) and Λ production in anti pp interactions. The experimental data have been obtained in exposures of the Ludmila hydrogen bubble chamber to RF separated beam of 22.4 GeV/c antiprotons at the Serpukhov accelerator. The amount of interactions is 1123 with Ksub(s)sup(0) mesons and 454 with Λ hyperons. It is found that the scaling in the mean is valid for Ksub(s)sup(0) mesons and not for Λ-hyperons. The connection of the scaling in the mean with other scaling laws is discussed. For Λ particles the associative multiplicities depend linearly on the logarithmic missing mass squared with a slope parameter comparable to those found in other experiments. The validity of the associative KNO-scaling has been tested for events with Λ-production

AbstractAbstract
[en] The production of γ-quanta and π0-mesons in anti pp-interactions at 22.4 GeV/c is studied. π0 production in annihilation events is estimated. The coefficient of the linear dependence between the average number of π0-mesons and the number of associated negative charged particles which is equal to 0.26+-0.06 is measured. It is shown that the spectra of longitudinal momenta of γ-quanta, π0-mesons and transverse momenta of γ-quanta agree in the mean with the scaling hypothesis. The experimental data are compared with the predictions of the quark-parton model which gives the over estimated average number of π0-mesons

AbstractAbstract
[en] To determine cross sections, average multiplicities and inelasticity coefficients π0 and Ksub(n), formed in anti pp annihilation interaction at 22.4 GeV/c, data on the differences in the respective characteristics anti pp- and pp-interactions have been used. The average multiplicity of π0 in anti pp annihilation interactions is equal to 3.2+-0.3 and exceeds analogous data for inelastic pp- and anti pp interactions. The inelasticity coefficient π+, π0 and Ksub(n)/Ksup(0) or anti K0/of mesons formed in annihilation interactions: etasub(π)sup(+)=0.33+-0.22, etasub(πsup(0)=0.36+-0.05, etasub(Ksubn))=0.044+-0.008 is determined. The total multiplicity of charged and neutral particles formed in anti pp annihilation at 22.4 GeV/c equals 10.2+-0.4 and exceeds the corresponding values for inelastic anti pp and pp interactions

AbstractAbstract
[en] Some methods of extracting of diffraction dissociation processes are described. The production mechanism and the properties of the dissociated systems are characterized. Some features obtained in inclusive processes are given and exclusive reactions are described in more detail. (L.M.K.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The difference between antiproton annihilation and pp interactions has been discussed. Charged particle multiplicity distributions in anti pp-interactions at 22.4 GeV/c were used to obtain antiproton annihilation characteristics. The comparison of the topological cross section of antipp interactions with those of non-diffractive pp interactions confirms the validity of dual unitarization

AbstractAbstract
[en] The associative multiplicity < n(Msub(x)sup(2))> as a function of the missing mass squared Msub(x) to the identified proton in the p tilde p → p(slow)+X reaction at 22.4 GeV/c is studied. A different behaviour of the associative multiplicity for diffraction and nondiffraction events is observed. The Msub(X)sup(2) dependence on the ratio < n(Msub(X)sup(2))>/D is qualitatively wxplained on the basis of the two-component model, where D is the dispersion. An analogue of KNO scaling in the system X is obtained for all values of Msub(X)sup(2) with the help of the scaling variable. A similar behaviour of the p tilde p → p(slow)+X and pp → p(slow)+X is reactions pointed out

AbstractAbstract
[en] The inclusive azimuthal distributions of pion pairs are studied in anti pp interactions at 24.4 GeV/c. The dependence of the asymmetry parameter on maltiplicity, particle rapidity difference, longitudinal and transverce momentum is studied The rhosup(o) and Δ++ resonance production effect on azimuthal distributions is estimated. The results show that neither the resonance production nor the Bose-Einstein symmetry effect suffice to explain the data

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method is proposed for determining the annihilation cross-section based on the technique of measuring secondary interactions. The accuracy and practical application of the method are considered on an example of the p anti p-experiment at 22.4 GeV/c carried out with a bubble chamber ''Lyudmila''
