AbstractAbstract
[en] A metalogenic pattern is proposed as a geological criterion to help in prospecting radioactive minerals accumulated in the tertiary sedimentary deposits at the Burgos Basin. Through the analysis and interpretation of the geological concepts and the mentioned pattern we can reach more and more precise processes to control the localization of radioactive minerals and at the same time apply the criteria of this pattern in the selection of areas which present the greatest probabilities of the existence of a radioactive ore deposit. As soon as the geoligical is defined, prospection programs are realized with indirect methods through which we obtain the demarcation of anomalous superficial zones. Immediately after this step a geological and geophysical verification program is developed. This way we can know objectively the areas which will be included in the direct exploration programm that will permit us to determine finally the zones of interest and the uninteresting zones. In conclusion the objective of this work is to determine the relations between paleochannels and accumulations of radioactive minerals. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An instrumental neutron activation analysis for the simultaneous determination of chlorine, bromine, sodium, manganese, cobalt, copper, chromium, zinc, nickel, antimony and iron in waste water is described. They were determined in waste water samples under normal conditions by non-destructive neutron activation simultaneously using a suitable monostandard method. Standardized water samples were used and irradiated in polyethylene ampoules at a neutron flux of 1013 cm-2 s-1 for periods of 1 minute, 1 and 10 hours. A Ge hyperpure detector was used for your activity determination, with count times of 60, 180, 300 and 600 seconds. The obtained results show than the method can be utilized for the determination of this elements without realize anything previous treatment of the samples. (Author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] At the present time, several technologies have been proposed to remove dyes from water, adsorption is one of the most feasible methods and adsorbents with different properties, such as activated carbon, zeolites, clays and hydrogels among others. In this work, the sorption behavior of blue 1 dye by a natural clay from a site located in the Center-East of Mexico, and other modified with iron chloride were determined. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction to analyze its crystal structure, by scanning electron microscopy and elemental microanalysis of energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry to determine the composition and morphology, and the zero point charges were also determined to know the charge distribution on the surface of the clay. The ph effect, contact time, dye concentration and temperature were the parameters considered in this study. The results showed that clay does not suffer any important changes in its structure after the chemical treatments (modification with ferric chloride and contact with blue 1 solutions). The ph influences lightly the adsorption of the dye with natural clay, but the same effect is not observed in the ferric modified clay among the factor ph 6 and 8. The equilibrium time and the sorption capacity for natural clay were 48 hours and 6.16 mg/g, while for the ferric clay were 24 hours and 14.22 mg/g. Adsorption kinetics results were best adjusted to the pseudo first and pseudo second order models. Adsorption isotherms were best adjusted to the Langmuir model, indicating that both clays have a homogeneous surface. Thermodynamic parameters (E, ΔS and ΔG and ΔH) were calculated for the dye adsorption by the natural clay using data of the adsorption kinetics at temperatures between 20 and 50 C, indicating that the adsorption process is exothermic. For the case of ferric clay, it was not possible to calculate these thermodynamic parameters because the adsorption capacities were similar in the range of selected temperatures. (Author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The diagnostic of some pathological processes by means of images constitutes one of the used methods in the determination of the origin, condition and/or evolution of one illness. The use of contrast agents in conjunction with other techniques help to the obtaining and visualization of complex systems, among these we can find to those radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine to visualize diverse organs and corporal systems. At the moment it is sought to develop a radiopharmaceutical of third generation that can be used for image In vivo of integrines with the purpose of detecting angio genesis processes, that which would allow to diagnose in way it specifies a wide range of primary tumors and their metastasis. Presently work it developed the radiopharmaceutical 99mTc-HYNIC-cycle-Lys-D-Phe-RGD, likewise the good conditions were determined for the formation of this complex. The HYNIC was employee as chelating agent, using as co ligands EDDA and Tricine for to complete the sphere of coordination of the 99mTc. The conjugated HYNIC-RGD was synthesized, purified, characterized and radiolabelled In situ with 99mTc using High pressure liquid chromatography as analysis method in Reverse Phase (RP-HPLC). By this way it was developed the lyophilized formulation for its instantaneous labelled to which were carried out quality control tests. The one conjugated was obtained free of impurities, showing stability at same as their complex formed with 99mTc. The analysis method was validated turning out to be necessary, exact, lineal and specific for the quantification of the analyte of interest. The lyophilized formulation showed a radiochemical purity bigger than 95%, besides being sterile and free of pyrogens. The biodistribution tests in athymic mice with induced tumors showed that the radiopharmaceutical was united mainly to the tumor and that this it was excreted mainly for renal via. (Author)
