AbstractAbstract
[en] Non-reducible O(3) symmetric meron solutions to classical SU(N+1) Yang-Mills theory in four dimensional Euclidean space are investigated. For even N the solutions have topological charge densities equal to a sum of delta-functions with integer coefficients while for odd N (N > 1) these coefficients can be both integer and half-integer. In all cases they correspond to solutions of a system of N coupled singular elliptic equations. The existence of two meron solutions of this system is discussed, and for N=3,4 some numerical solutions are given. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The equations for the most general axially symmetric ansatz are derived for SU(2) monopoles in the Bogomol'ny-Prasad-Sommerfield limit. The symmetries of these equations are described. The existence of an infinite parameter invariance group is pointed out. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper the specific energy consumption, which is necessary for production of different metals from connections, will be computed from a matrix function. The results are represented and discussed according to the periodical system. Last this investigation contains indications to reduce the real specific energy consumption for production of some important metals. (orig.)

(orig.)Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method for constructing static extended monopole solutions in the grand unification theories is shortly described. SU(N)/S(U(p)xU(q)) static finite energy monopole solutions are presented. The homotopy theory derivation of the charge quantization is given for these solutions. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An inductive discussion of 't Hooft's magnetic monopole solution is given illustrating how to construct such useful gauge invariants as the electromagnetic field strength. It is described what kind of electrodynamical situation can result finite energy for a point like magnetic monopole. Stable solutions in SU(3) gauge theories without scalars are presented. A detailed discussion of the SU(3) monopoles and dyons is carried out in the presence of Higgs scalars. The radial oscillations of 't Hooft's monopole are discussed briefly. (Auth.)
