AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental data on intensities and feeding times of the rotational bands of even-even nuclei produced in the (HI, xn) reactions have been classified. The correlation between the average spin of the populated level and the average angular momentum of the compound nucleus has been quantitatively considered. Semiquantitative calculations have been given for angular momentum and excitation energy distribution of the nuclei after the neutron evaporation for a fixed final product of the reaction. A simple formula has been given for calculation of lsub(crit) - a critical angular momentum for production of a compound nucleus at interaction of heavy ions with nuclei. (orig.)

Die Arbeit gibt eine systematische Darstellung von experimentellen Daten ueber die Besetzungsintensitaeten und -zeiten der Rotationsbanden von gg-Kernen, die bei den Reaktionen (HI, xn) entstanden. Die Korrelation zwischen dem mittleren Spin des besetzten Niveaus und dem mittleren Drehimpuls des Compoundkerns wurde quantitativ betrachtet. Es werden halbquantitative Berechnungen ueber den Drehimpuls und die Anregungsenergie der Kerne nach Verdampfung der Neutronen fuer ein festes Endprodukt der Reaktion durchgefuehrt. Ausserdem wird eine einfache Formel zur Berechnung von lsub(crit) - des kritischen Drehimpulses fuer die Compoundkernbildung bei der Wechselwirkung schwerer Ionen mit Kernen - angegeben. AbstractAbstract
[en] Rotational states of doubly even sup(160,162,164,166)Yb isotopes with spins up to (10-20)h are investigated. Feeding of the Yb isotopes states was achieved through the (40Ar, 4n) reactions on the sup(124,124,128,130)Te targets. The recoil-distance Doppler-shift method was used. Both absolute and relative intensities of shifted and unshifted peaks of Yb nucleus energy-level transitions were measured. The energy levels, relative intensities of lateral feeding, mean time of the lateral feeding and lifetimes of the Yb isotopes Yrast bands are tabulated. The obtained values of rotational level lifetimes are compared with the predictions of the rigidrotor model. For the sup(164,166)Yb isotopes a small retardation (by a factor of 1.2-1.4) of transitions is found in the backbending region. Some properties (moment of inertia, quadrupole deformation parameter, etc.) of the Yb isotope rotational bands are discussed. The results obtained are compared with results for similar nuclei obtained elsewhere

[en] The lifetimes of high-spin levels of the ground state band and those of the independent population of 164Yb isotope obtained in the (40Ar,4n) reaction are measured by the Doppler method of the gamma-ray shift on recoil nuclei. It has been found that no strong deceleration of transitions in the backbending region occurs. The experimental data for the B(E2) transition probabilities are compared with certain theoretical predictions

[en] The emission of 3He and 4He' has been studied for 45, 75 and 110 MeV 4He-induced reactions on 159Tb and 209Bi using particle-γ coincidence techniques. The exclusive cross sections show structures which allow one to separate two-body from many-body processes.
