AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of elastic K-p scattering at 32.1 GeV/c are presented for the t range of 0.045<|t|<1.75 GeV2 (where t is the squared four-momentum transfer) with statistics of 6.5 events/microbarn. The diffeKential cross section dσsub(l)/dt has been parametrized with the dependences Aexp(at), Aexp(at+βt2), Aexp(at)+Bexp(ct). The data have been analysed in the impact parameter representation. The overlap functions and mean square interaction distances have been found for elastic and inelastic processes. The results obtained confirm that inelastic processes are greatly pheripheral with respect to elastic ones. The ratio of the total cross sections for head-on pp- and K-p-collisions is shown to differ very little from 3/2, which coincides with the conclusions of simple additive quark models. However this agreement is broken with growth of peripherality. The decrease of the cross section for K-p-scattering observed up to s< or approximately 60 GeV (S - total energy squared) takes place mainly due to the decrease of the overlap function at small impact parameters, i.e. due to smaller opaqueness at central collisions. The experimental results contradict the hypothesis of the geometial scaling and eiconal factorization at s< or approximately 60 GeV2. In the framework of model predictions the hadronic matter density distribution in proton and K--meson has been estimated

AbstractAbstract
[en] The events with single- and double-vertex diffractive dissociation were separated by the method of maximal rapidity gap from K-π+π-p and K-2π+2π-p in K-p experiment with a sensitivity of 6 ev/μb. Distributions by rapidity to the cosine of Jackson angle for K--meson in the equilibrium system of the diffractive system point out the absence of the leading K--meson, but in the corresponding distributions for the proton an expressive effect of the leading particle is observed. Data on charge and strangeness exchange are in a good agreement with calculation results by the Monte-Karlo method in the supposition of the diffractive system statistical decay

AbstractAbstract
[en] A study of the exclusive channels in K-p-interactions at 32 GeV/c is fulfilled in terms of multiparticle variables. The general features of their final state phase space configuration with number of charged particles from 4 up to 10 can be described in the first approximation by a cylindrical phase space model, including a leading particle effect. The analysis indicates the decrease of peripherality of the reactions with multiplicity growth. It is found that events with nondiffractively produced light resonances in the channel K-p→K-pπ+π- give significant contribution to the transverse plane alignment and planarity effects; the relative alongation of event configurations along principle axis increases with energy, while planarity demonstrates approximate scaling for the final states with six and more particles

AbstractAbstract
[en] Exclusive channels in K-p interactions have been studied in terms of many-particle variables at 32 GeV/c. The fundamental properties of the event configuration in the phase space of final states with the number of charged particles from 4 to 10 can be described in the first approximation by the model of a cylindrical phase volume incorporating the effect of leading particles. The analysis performed shows that the periphericity of reactions decreases with increasing multiplicity. It has been found that the events with nondiffractionally produced light resonances in the K-p → K-pπ+π- channel give the main contribution to the alignment in a transversal plane and to the planarity effects relative elongation of the event configuration along the main axis increases with energy, whereas the planarity displays approximate scaling for final states with six and more particles

[en] Events with one- and two-vertex diffractional dissociation are separated by means of the method of the maximal rapidity interval in the final states K-π+π-p and K-2π+2π-p produced in the K-p experiment with statistics of 6 event/mkbn. Distributions in the rapidity and in cosine of the Jackson angle for the K- meson in the rest frame of the diffractional system indicate an absence of a leading K- meson, but this effect is observed in the distributions for the proton. Data on the charge and strangeness exchange are in reasonable agreement with the Monte-Carlo calculations assuming a statistical decay of the diffractional system

AbstractAbstract
[en] Presented is a systematic analysis of formation mechanisms of the following final states: K-p→K-pπ+π-, K-p→K-pK+K-, K-p→K-pp anti p, at 32 GeV/c and clarified is the role of resonances in the process of diffraction dissociation of primary particles in non-diffraction processes as well. It is shown that the K-pπ+π- final state appears mainly in the three-particle diffractive dissociation of the primary K- mass and proton, and the K-pK+K- and K-pp anti p final states are mostly due to the diffraction of a single primary K- meson. The decay of these diffractive excited systems is a dominant source of the resonances anti K*0(892), rho 0(770), Δ++(1238) and Δ0(1238). The analysis of the angular characteristics of the decay of diffractive systems for the K-p→K-pπ+π- reaction has shown that the helicity is conserved in the T channel rather than in the S channel. This is estremely seen in the regions associated with Q2-(1420)- and N*(1710)-resonance production. The decay characteristics of anti K*0(892) and Δ++(1238) are analysed in terms of the spin density matrix

AbstractAbstract
[en] The study was designed to determine topological cross-sections of n,p interactions, which are needed for determining cross-sections of channels of individual reactions. Some 2x105 stars were examined. Photographs were made with a hydrogen bubble camera with exposure to monochromatic neutrons of 1- to 5-GeV/c pulses. The procedure for examining the stars is described. In processing the events, a correction for background-substrate was introduced, obtained by modeling the interaction with calculation of the construction features of the camera. Modeling was carried out for 1.2, 3.7, and 5 GeV/c. While for 3- and 5-ray stars the shape and value of the substrate were determined entirely by secondary neutrons, in 1-ray stars the substrate consisted of three components - the glass bottom, a contribution from low-energy neutron sources, and a contribution from secondary neutrons. Topological cross-sections wre determined for 1-, 3-, 5-, and 7-ray stars for eight significant pulses - 1.25, 1.42, 1.72, 2.23, 3.10, 3.83, 4.37, and 5.09 GeV/c. The average precision of the cross-section determinations was no better than 2%

AbstractAbstract
[en] The study of the interference effects between the identical pions, conducted for the K-p-interactions at 32 GeV/c, showed the existence of the short range positive interference correlations as in the π+π+ system, so in the π-π- one. It was found, that the use of the background distributions formed from the π+π- pairs could significantly distort a shape and a magnitude of the interference effects. An estimate of the transverse dimension of the region of the emission of pions Rsub(T)approximately 2 Fm was obtained with a more correct definition of the background

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of methodical investigations on separation of the channels with one neutral particle in K-p interactions at 32 GeV/c are given. On the basis of the calculations according to the GRIND program separated are the following exclusive reactions: K-p→K-p+m(π+π-)+π0, K-p→ anti Ksub(visible)sup(0)pπsup(-) + m(π+π-)+π0, K-p→π-p(+mπ+π-)+ anti Ksub(visible)sup(0), K-p→K-π++m(π+π-)+N, where m=0, 1, 2. The reaction cross section with π0, Ksub(visible)sup(0) and N particles are estimated. The dependence of the reaction cross sections on energy is given. The accuracy of measurement of the particle kinematic parameters in the K-p interactions permits rather reliably separate the exclusive channels with one invisible π- meson at > 2 charged particle multiplicity. Separation of the channels with invisible K0 meson is impeded by great admixtures from kinematically indistinguishable processes with one or two π0 mesons and relatively small cross section of these channels. The energy dependence of the channel cross sections with one π0 meson in 4- and 6-ray events is analogous to the behaviour of the cross sections of the corresponding channels without π0 meson at Psub(labor) > 10 GeV/c
