AbstractAbstract
[en] The matching of excimer gas lasers and the external electric circuits is investigated with the aim of obtaining the optimal efficiency of laser power production. Two steps of energy transfer, the transfer from the pumping scheme to the discharge and an efficient conversion to the laser emission were studied. The internal efficiency depends on the parameters of the pumping scheme only through the discharge current density, thus through the deposited power. The total efficiency is sensitive to the impedance matching between the pumping scheme and the discharge. (D.Gy.)
