AbstractAbstract
[en] Dielectric, magnetic and X-ray diffraction characteristics of lithium-titanium ferrite ceramic samples prepared by different technological modes are studied. It is shown that there is complex interrelation between values of electron transport activation energy, saturation magnetization and ferrite structural parameters. The determinative factor of such interrelation is cation redistribution of iron ions over A- and B-sublattices due to use of different sintering modes of lithium-titanium ferrite ceramics

Изучены диэлектрические, магнитные и рентгеноструктурные характеристики образцов литий-титановой ферритовой керамики, приготовленных в различных технологических режимах. Показано, что наблюдается сложная взаимосвязь величин энергии активации электропереноса, намагниченности насыщения и структурных параметров феррита. [en] The experiments on determining the Barkhausen electric pulses, nonlinearity and hysteresis of the polarization value dependences are described with the purpose of obtaining additional data on the ferro- or antiferroelectric properties of the Li-Ti-ferrite. The nonlinearity, or nonlinearity and hysteresis are observed in dependence on the temperature. The Barkhausen electric pulses are identified. The temperature dependences of the electric pulses amplitude are obtained by the samples repolarization in the electric fields of different intensity. The obtained results prove the availability of the ferroelectric properties of the Li-Ti-ferrite ceramics

Описаны эксперименты по выявлению электрических импульсов Баркгаузена, нелинейности и гистерезиса зависимостей величины поляризации с целью получения дополнительных данных о сегнето- или антисегнетоэлектрических свойствах Li-Ti-феррита. В зависимости от температуры наблюдаются либо нелинейность, либо нелинейность и гистерезис этих зависимостей. Обнаружены электрические импульсы Баркгаузена. Получены температурные зависимости амплитуды электрических имульсов при переполяризации образцов в электрических полях разной напряженности. [en] We study numerically the localization-delocalization transition in a class of one-dimensional tight-binding Hamiltonians H with non-random power-law inter-site coupling Hmn=J/|m-n|μ and random on-site energy. This model is critical with respect to the magnitude of disorder at one of the band edges, provided 1<μ<((3)/(2)). We demonstrate that at some value of the magnitude of disorder Δc, interpreted as the critical one, the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean of the participation number distribution is a size-invariant parameter: all curves of this ratio versus the magnitude of disorder, plotted for different system sizes, have a joint intersection point at Δc. This value is finite for 1<μ<((3)/(2)) implying the existence of the transition, while in the marginal case (at μ=((3)/(2))) the intersection point is at Δc=0 implying localization of all the eigenstates

[en] The paper discusses the present state of the data on the radiative capture cross-sections of the nuclei of various elements for fast neutrons (with energies above 1 keV). The principal methods of measuring these cross-sections are briefly analysed with a view to evaluating the reliability and accuracy of the information obtained, and also with a view to elucidating possible causes of observed discrepancies. The available experimental data are compared with calculated results, to determine the reliability of such calculations in the case of nuclei for which there are no experimental data, e.g. unstable fission fragments. The authors present their conclusions regarding the most appropriate directions for future work on radiative capture. (author)

[en] Highlights: • A new method is developed for defect level detection in soft ferrimagnetic materials. • The method is based on measuring of temperature dependence of initial permeability. • The phenomenological expression is proposed for the mathematical treatment of results. • Fitting parameters determine the integral defect level of ferrite ceramics. • The method was successfully tested on the LiTiZn ferrite ceramics. The method for evaluating the integral defects level and chemical homogeneity of ferrite ceramics based on temperature dependence analysis of initial permeability is suggested. A phenomenological expression for the description of such dependence was suggested and an interpretation of its main parameters was given. It was shown, that the main criterion of the integral defects level of ferrite ceramics is relation of two parameters correlating with elastic stress value in a material. An indicator of structural perfection can be a maximum value of initial permeability close to Curie point as well. The temperature dependences of initial permeability have analyzed for samples sintered in laboratory conditions and for the ferrite industrial product. The proposed method allows controlling integral defects level of the soft ferrite products and has high sensitivity compare to typical X-ray methods.
