AbstractAbstract
[en] The devitrification behavior of sodium germanate glasses, examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, differential thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction is reported. The glass compositions are expressed by the general formula: xNa2O·(1-x)GeO2 with x=0.100; 0.125; 0.200; 0.250 and 0.333. The glass transition temperature values do not change linearly with the increase in Na2O content but go through a maximum at x=0.200. The phases crystallizing during DTA runs were identified and devitrification mechanisms proposed. The effect on devitrification processes of the specific surface area of the samples was also pointed out

AbstractAbstract
[en] The research activities of Plasma Laboratory at UNICAMP (University of Campinas, Brazil) in the period from november 84 to july/85 are described. In the TUPA project, several works related to substructure and research programs were developed. Diagnostic techniques to analyse the theta Pinch implosion phase, a presure probe, an electrostatic ion energy analyser and laser-produced plasma spectroscopy were developed. The experimental results were obtained, using multiple magnetic probes inserted in the plasma. These results were analysed by numerical code using some MHD equations in 2 dimensions. A description of plasma dynamic was determined and the plasma parameters such as density and temperature were estimated. (M.C.K.)

Descrevem-se as atividades de pesquisa do Laboratorio de PLasma da UNICAMP no periodo de novembro de 1984 a julho de 1985. Foram desenvolvidos dentro do projeto TUPA, varios trabalhos relacionados a infra-estrutura e projetos de pesquisas. Desenvolveram-se tecnicas de diagnostico para analisar a fase de implosao do theta-pinch, uma sonda de pressao, um analisador eletrostatico de energia dos ions e espectroscopia de plasma produzido por laser. Os resultados experimentais foram obtidos utilizando-se sondas magneticas multiplas inseridas no plasma. Estes resultados foram analisados por um codigo numerico utilizando algumas equacoes de MHD em 2 dimensoes. Determinou-se uma descricao da dinamica do plasma e estimaram-se os parametros do plasma tais como densidade e temperatura. (M.C.K.)Original Title
