[en] Different internal friction theories based on the presence of point defects at dislocations are compared with experimental results in irradiated metals and their condition of validity are discussed. Then the experimental results obtained in irradiated copper on the creation of point defects at dislocations and subsequent annealing behavior are compared with several theoretical models

AbstractAbstract
[en] Nuclear Magnetic Resonance has been rarely used to study point defects created by irradiation in metals. Information obtained in this field using N.M.R. are shown. Some results are also described: characterization of migrating defects in electron irradiated copper; mobility of the complex interstitial-impurity in Al with 150 ppm of chromium; interstitial structure in irradiated aluminum and autodiffusion in metals
[fr]

AbstractAbstract
[en] Internal friction and elastic modulus measurements are highly sensitive, and make it possible the study of the defects at very low concentrations (about 10-9), that explains they have been chosen to determine the threshold energies of creating Frenkel pairs. Some copper samples were irradiated at 20K, with 0.35 to 2MeV electrons. The time of irradiation was such that the number of pinning points created along a dislocation segment was the same for every energy used, isochronous annealings were then effected. The threshold of creating defects at 9K is clearly lower along dislocations than in the bulk crystal. The threshold of creating defects which migrate at stage I and III, after irradiation at 20K, is same and approximately 17eV
[fr]

AbstractAbstract
[en] Irradiation defects in magnesium and their interactions with dislocations are studied by internal friction and elastic modulus. Long distance migration of different defects are determined. Relaxation peaks at very low temperature are analyzed. In the interaction peak between defects and dislocations it is shown that defects are interstitials and that dislocations are responsible for the peak B1 and the interaction mechanism is probably associated to a side motion of defects along the lines. Defects brought by irradiation on dislocations are used for testing Bordoni relaxation theory and variation of parameters of peak B1 and B2 are analyzed
