AbstractAbstract
[en] An electrostatic spectrometer is constructed for investigations of conversion electron spectra and continuous beta-spectra in the 0.5-50 keV range. The spectrometer consists of two analyzers: spherical decelerator and a double cylindrical mirror analyzer. Beta-particles are detected by a channel electron multiplier. The spectrometer is fully automated on the basis of modules and microcomputer in the CAMAC standard. The slowing down voltage is stabilized with precision of 10-5. The conversion electron spectrum of 169Yb is measured. An energy resolution of 8.1 eV is obtained for 10.6 keV electrons. In the measured value of the natural line width (approximately 5 eV) is also taken into account. The instrumental energy resolution is δE/E approximately 0.06% (i. e. δP/P approximately 0.03%)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An empirical method in the depth-selective ME-spectroscopy for determination of the depth distribution of the resonance matter in thin surface layers is proposed. The method is based on the experimentally determined change of the energy distribution of resonance conversion electrons emitted from a thin layer which is subsequently covered with absorbing layers of known thickness. The distribution of the resonance matter in the depth of an unknown sample is determined either by suitably constructed nomograms or by solving a system of linear equations with experimentally determined co-efficients. AbstractAbstract
[en] The KLL and KLM spectra of Fe (Z=26) Auger electrons were studied on a combined electrostatic electron spectrometer. The relative Auger transition intensities as well as energies of the spectra studied have been determined. Intensity ratio of the KLM/KLL groups has been determined as well. A noticeale discrepancy has been found between the measured relative intensities of the strongest KLL Auger transitions and the results of the relativistic calculations in the approximation of intermediate coupling with a configuration interaction. The experimental relative intensities of the KLM Auger transitions were compared with the results of the calculations in the frame of both the intermediate coupling and the jj coupling scheme. It follows from the comparison that the adequate calculations of the KLM transition intensities should be based on the intermediate coupling. The KLM/KLL group intensity ratio obtained is in good agreement with the theoretical predictions

AbstractAbstract
[en] High-spin states in 108,110Pd isotopes are studied by γ-ray spectroscopy of heavy-ion induced fission. The Pd isotopes were produced in the fission channel of the 31P + 176Yb reaction at beam energy 152 MeV. The prompt γ-rays are detected with the EUROBALL4 multidetector array. The level scheme of 108Pd was extended with a new negative parity band. In 110Pd the yrast sequence was observed up to spin I=14+ and negative parity bands have been identified. The excitation energy ratio E(4+)/E(2+) for the 108,110Pd isotopes is 2.42 and 2.46 respectively, which is close to 2.5 predicted for an O(6) transitional γ-soft rotor. The band-crossing in these Pd isotopes is assigned to a low-Ωνh11/2 configuration. The negative parity states arise from two neutron configurations: νh11/2 x νg7/2 and νh11/2 x νd5/2

AbstractAbstract
[en] The atomic capture and transfer of stopped negative pions have been studied in binary gas mixtures of H2+M, where M is CCl2F2, CClF3, CBrF3 or SF6. The π0 yield, versus relative atomic concentration Csub(A) of M, goes through a maximum at Csub(A)proportional0.1 and levels off at zero at high concentrations. This phenomenon together with other observed characteristics of the atomic capture and transfer of pions in these systems is interpreted in the frame of a phenomenological model. The average transfer coefficients anti Λsub(Z) exhibit a weak concentration dependence. The estimated average atomic capture ratios anti A(Z/H) are lower than those found for noble gases, probably because of the mutual screening of the constituent atoms in the molecules. The probability of pion capture in an atomic orbit is not proportional to the stopping power of the components of the mixture. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] To study the influence of matter macroscopic properties on the negative muon atomic capture the muonic X-ray spectra have been measured from silicon at 77 deg and 295 deg, from VO2 at 295 deg and 355 deg, and from V2O3 at 77 deg and 295 deg using a Ge(Li) spectrometer 55 cm3 in volume and ''on-line'' technique. It is shown that neither changes of a conductivity in all targets, nor a rebuilding of both vanadium oxydes crystal structure at phase transition does not cause any alteration in muonic X-ray spectrum. The obtained results are discussed in terms of a ''time pit''
