[en] The strength and the chemical stability of the end product of the reactor graphite waste thermal and chemical treatment within Al-TiO2-C system were laboratory tested. The leaching rate of 137Cs and 90Sr determined using the specimens synthesized from the charge containing the irradiated graphite from the AM test reactor 28 days later was maximum 10-6 (cm2 24 hours)

[en] During the liquid radwaste processing at NPPs, concentrates and spent filter materials are formed, the main of which are ion exchange resins (IER). The paper considers thermal, or destructive, techniques for processing radioactive IER, including: incineration, pyrolysis, vitrification, hot pressing, plasma treatment, wet oxidation, oxidation in salt melt. The comparison of technologies for conditioning the radioactive spent IER is given in the paper

[en] Paper describes the composition of the optimized powder-like metallized fuel to ensure thermochemical treatment of spent ion-exchange resins to produce the slag to be added to the magnesium-phosphate ceramics. The fuel contains some mineral additions transforming the ion-exchange resin sulfo-groups into water difficulty soluble compounds. One prepared the test specimens of the magnesium-phosphate ceramics containing slag inclusions resulting from the KA-11 ion-exchange resin combustion and studied its physicochemical properties

AbstractAbstract
[en] Thermodynamic analysis and laboratory examinations of phase equilibria in the C - Al - TiO2 system being of interest for the immobilization of irradiated reactor graphite were carried out. Field of component ratios providing maximum carbon inclusion in carbide corundum matrix of the end product was determined in the system. It is established that in the process the carbon partially transforms into the gas phase as carbon oxide CO. Yield of ∼ 10-6 kg of 14C to 1 kg of the graphite starting mass into the gas phase is estimated

Выполнен термодинамический анализ и проведены лабораторные исследования фазовых равновесий в системе C - Al - TiO2, представляющей интерес для иммобилизации облученного реакторного графита. Определена область соотношения компонентов системы, обеспечивающего максимальное включение углерода в карбидокорундовую матрицу конечного продукта. Установлено, что при этом углерод частично переходит в газовую фазу в виде оксида углерода CO. Оценен выход в газовую фазу ∼ 10-6 кг 14C на 1 кг исходной массы графитаOriginal Title

[en] Saturated vapor over indium dichloride at T=590 K was studied by electron diffraction and mass-spectrometric methods. It is ascertained that the vapor contains three molecular forms InCl, In2Cl4 and InCl3, the first being the dominating one.
