AbstractAbstract
[en] A brief description is presented of a pneumatic-hydraulic stand intended for internal pressure tests of large-scale models of vessels in the 293-77 K temperature range. Investigation results on load capacity of cylindrical vessels of 12Kh18N10T and 03KhAG19 steels 420 mm in diameter, 870 mm in length with 8 mm wall thickness at 293 and 77 K are given

AbstractAbstract
[en] Peculiarities of elastic-plastic deformation and fracture of large-scale welded models of cryogenic vessels made of 12Kh18N10T and 03Kh13AG19 steels, are found out. Real safety factor at room and low temperatures is determined. Experiments have shown that redistribution of stresses and deformations in elastic-plastic region occurs as a result of plastic deformation. Ratio of breaking stresses of vessels of the 12Kh18N10T steel at low and normal temperatures is σsub(fract.)sup(77)/σsub(fract.)sup(293)=1.4. Strength of vessels of the 03Kh13AT19 steel is lower than the strength of the basic metal both at normal and at low temperatures. Character of macrofracture of vessels of the both steels is similar at corresponding temperature, fracture has been initiated in the defect region of longitudinal joint weld and has developed along its length

AbstractAbstract
[en] Stress-strained state and supporting power are investigated for a welded spherical vessel, subjected to the action of internal pressure at the normal and low temperatures. For solution of the problem stated a theory of thin shells is applied considering Kirchhoff-Love hypothesis as well as correlation of small plasto-elastic deformations theory. Mechanical characteristics of the material and different structural peculiarities of the vessel are studied for the character of stress-strained state. Results of experimental study of the strained state and serviceability of vessel under the action of internal pressure are analysed. A good correspondence of calculated transpositions and deformations with experimental results is shown. Effectiveness of the von Mises criterion is evaluated for predicting serviceability of the structural element under study
