AbstractAbstract
[en] Spherically symmetric nonlinear relativistic oscillations of a 'cold' plasma near a source of electrons are considered. The behavior of the oscillations is investigated as a function of the time dependence of the injected electron current. The solutions of the equations describing nonlinear plasma oscillations are found to exhibit differences, depending on whether the coefficients are variable or constant. The possibility of controlling the nature and parameters of the plasma oscillations externally is investigated. 16 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The parametric instabilities for modulated beams in a one-component system arise when the condition 2L=nλ, is satisfied, where L is the wavelength of the density or velocity modulation of the beam, λ is the plasma wavelength, and n = 1, 2, hor-ellipsis. The problem of the excitation of a parametric instability in a plasma-filled system was first treated by Fainberg and Shapiro in the linear approximation. They considered a beam in slab geometry, consisting of a periodic sequence of charged-neutralized infinitely wide uniform clumps moving with constant velocity in an unbounded plasma. It was found that the instability in this case also develops according to the condition. In the present work we describe the discovery of a parametric induced by the boundedness of a plasma-filled system. The excitation takes place under a condition analogous to (1), but instead of L in Eq. (1) the length of the system enters as a parameter. One of its boundaries is a conducting surface with an oscillating charge density and the other is virtual; about this more will be said in what follows. 13 refs., 1 fig

AbstractAbstract
[en] Potential use of niobium foil for the manufacture of electrolytic capacitors is discussed. An experimental batch of niobium foil has been made and its special capacitor properties have been studied. The capacity of oxidized niobium specimen per 1 cm2 surface (with oxidizing voltage up to 30 v) is 30-40% more than that of identical tantalum specimen. Large niobium foil capacity will permit a 30-40% reduction in niobium capacitor overall dimensions. Specific weight of niobium is twice as small as that of tantalum, therefore, niobium capacitors will have a 2.3-2.4 times less weight than tantalum ones of the same type and the same nominal capacity

[en] Spherical nonlinear relativistic oscillations of 'cold' plasma in the vianity of an electron source were considered. The properties of the oscillations depending on the time structure of electron injection current were investigated. Differences in solutions of equations with variable and constant coefficients, describing nonlinear oscillation of the plasma, were found. Possibilities of external control over the character and parameters of plasma oscillations were studied

AbstractAbstract
[en] Parametric instability caused by the boundedness of plasma-filled system is investigated. It is shown that the established parametric instability in the system (one of its boundaries is virtual) is of oscillation nature. It is noted that instability excitation is theoretically feasible at two wave lengths: λe and λi. The shape of the radiation spectrum envelopes at plasma frequency which has been recorded in ionosphere experiments is, probably, explained by instability development effect

AbstractAbstract
[en] The bioluminescent method was used in the studies of the influence of ionizing irradiation and/or xenobiotics on the content of ATP in RBC and neutrophils of rats, and in whole blood and neutrophils of 80 examined women of Altai region exposed to ionizing radiation during a series of nuclear tests in Semipalatinsk in 1949-1965. Deviations from the normal ATP content were measured with due to account of the natural variability of a given metabolite. For rats, deviations from the content of ATP in erythrocytes were short-term, those in neutrophils were long-term. For people, a statistically significant increase in the content of ATP in neutrophils as compared to the control was observed. A non-linear correlation between the content of ATP in neutrophils and the calculated dose of radiation was observed. An increase in the ATP content in whole blood, with regard to the control, was not statistically significant for all groups of examined persons
