AbstractAbstract
[en] Coulomb energy displacements have been calculated for the A=28;T=1 triad using shell model wave functions. Averaging the small deviations between calculated and available experimental values, one has calculated six additional 28Si;T=1 levels of which four can be associated with experimental levels with previously unknown T-values

AbstractAbstract
[en] The energy levels of 28P were studied with the 28Si(tau,t)28P reaction at a bombarding energy of 35 MeV and 15 keV resolution (FWHM). Excitation energies were measured for 30 separated levels or multiplets with a precision of approximately 5 keV up to 3.911 MeV and approximately 10 keV up to 5.19 MeV (21 of these levels were precisely determined for the first time). Spectroscopic information was derived for 22 levels on the basis of the transfered-L shape analogy of their experimental angular distributions. Comparison was made with DWBA calculations. Some previous Jsup(π) ambiguities are now removed and we propose spectroscopic assignments up to 3.91 MeV. Odd parity levels appear above 3.2 MeV. Comparison was made with the other components of the A=28, in particular with the mirror nucleus 28Al

AbstractAbstract
[en] Three stable even germanium isotopes have been studied by means of elastic and inelastic scattering of 36 MeV alpha particles on 70,72,74Ge. The low-lying levels 01+, 21+, 31-, 41+, 22+ and 02+ were analysed by means of coupled-channels calculations in the framework of the vibrational (harmonic and anharmonic) model and the asymmetric rotor model (except 02+ and 31-). The anharmonic vibrational model gives a better description of these levels in all three isotopes. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] An experiment on the radioactivity of 223 Ra by 14 C emission has been performed, using an intense 227 Th source of 150 MBq (4 mCi) and the spectrometer of large solid angle SOLENO. The measured energy spectrum of the emitted 14 C nuclei clearly shows the presence of two peaks at the expected locations corresponding to transitions towards the ground state and the first excited state of the residual nucleus 209 Pb. A few events fall on the second and/or the third excited state location. This result shows for the first time the existence of a fine structure in 14 C radioactivity analogous to the one already known in α-decay. The branching ratios of the transitions to the ground state and to the first excited state are 0.15 ± 0.03 and 0.81±0.06 and the hindrance factors are 600 and 3, respectively

AbstractAbstract
[en] Differential cross sections have been measured for the elastic and inelastic scattering of 24 MeV protons from 148,150,152,154Sm and of 36 MeV alpha particles from 150,152Sm. The experimental results were analysed in the framework of coupled-channels and collective-model theories. 148,150Sm were assumed to be harmonic vibrators while 152,154Sm were treated as symmetric rotators. The octupole vibrational bands (1-, 3-, 5-) in 152,154Sm were satisfactorily analysed simultaneously with the ground-state band in the framework of the rotation-vibration model. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Elastic scattering of 6.4MeV neutrons has been studied with 31P, 59Co, 75As, 127I and 209Bi as scatterers. Differential cross-section have been measured between 5 and 130 deg and total scattering cross-sections have been deduced. The results were analyzed in terms of the optical model the parameters of which were derived for each distribution. Some disagreements were observed with 59Co and 75As. Their interpretation was attempted using residual electromagnetic effects for the former and channel coupling for the latter

AbstractAbstract
[en] The even-Ge(p,p') inelastic scattering has been studied at 22 MeV with an overall energy resolution of 10 keV using a tandem Van de Graaff and a split pole magnetic spectrometer. Angular distributions have been obtained for about 40 levels in each isotope. DWBA, vibrational and asymmetric rotor model coupled channel calculations have been made. Spin and parity assignments have been deduced. Possible unnatural parity levels have been populated

AbstractAbstract
[en] Coulomb displacement energy calculations have been used to identify the lowest T = 1 states in 28Si. The calculations have used existing shell-model wave functions and reproduce the experimental excitation energies, and so the change in level splitting. Appling a correction for systematic deviations increases the accuracy of the calculations to 20 keV and allows the proposal for four additional analogue states
