AbstractAbstract
[en] O2 and CO chemisorption and oxidation reactions are studied on monocrystals of a number of metals, in particular, ruthenium. The existence conditions of two main types of layers are determined: non-reconstructively (1) and reconstructively (2) chemisorbed oxygen. Oxygen binding energies are estimated on metals in layers 1 and 2. In CO oxidation reactions, Osub(chem) transition on the surface (1 st type) into O sub(chem) (2 nd type) results in the irreversible suppression of catalytic activity of ruthenium which is characterized by a high oxygen binding energy in the (2 nd) type of chemisorption

AbstractAbstract
[en] When a laser pulse of certain polarization or an electron beam excites atoms in a plasma, the atomic spectrum of the radiation emitted by the atoms exhibits differently polarized line core and line wings. This unusual effect, which is predicted to occur under a variety of conditions, can be accompanied by the appearance of the forbidden component in the spectrum, with polarization opposite to that of the exciting laser pulse

AbstractAbstract
[en] Discrete effects of the plasma irradiated by an ultrashort, intense laser pulse are investigated. Although, for most plasmas of interest, the damping of the laser pulse is due to collective plasma effects, in certain regimes the energy absorbed in the plasma microfields can be important. A scattering matrix is derived for an electron scattering off an ion in the presence of an intense laser field

AbstractAbstract
[en] Studied has been the influence of the high-energy electronic irradiation (E=225 MeV) on the yield point and thermoactivation parameters of the magnium and magnium-beryllium samples. It is shown that the radiation strengthening (post-irradiation increase in the yield of the material) of magnium and magnium-beryllium alloy, subjected to irradiation up to 6x1018 el/cm2, is governed, primarily, by the increase in the thermal component of the materials flow tension. Determined have been the mechanisms, that control the Mg-2%Be alloy deformation rate in the initial and irradiated condition in a broad temperature range (0.2-0.8 Tsub(melt.)). It is shown that the irradiation with high-energy electrons up to 6x1018 el/cm2 does not change the mechanisms that control the Mg-Be alloy plastic deformation rate

AbstractAbstract
[en] Structure of Ir surface face (110) and its change under oxygen effect was studied by the methods of diffraction of slow electrons, electron anger-spectroscopy and thermodesorption. It is shown, that little quantities of dissolved oxygen (0.1-1 at. %) cause Ir surface (110) microfaceting with faces (111). Further oxygen dissolution (approximately 10 at. %) brings about formation of oxide phase with (1x1) structure. Oxygen adsorption on microfaceted (110) Ir takes place at the beginning in ''valleys'' of microfacets with S0=0.26 adhesion coefficient in the state with E=70 kkl/mol, then on microfaces (111) of facets with s=0.05 in the state with E=56-30 kkal/mol, the latter being close to E and S0 values of oxygen on Ir face (111)
