[en] A method is proposed for seeking nonstatistical trends in the behavior of the radiative strength function of the primary γ transitions from the (n,γ) reaction. Existing data are used to analyze the correlations in the intensity of the primary transitions for the nuclei 174Yb, 168Er, and 178Hf in the capture of thermal neutrons and in the capture of neutrons with an average energy En = 2 keV. The positive correlation coefficients found for 174Yb and 168Er are very strong evidence that the radiative strength functions for these nuclei differ significantly from the mean open-quotes statisticalclose quotes values. 20 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab

[en] The background structures remained in the differential spectra of two-quantum cascades after background subtraction by the method described in the preprint of the JINR P6-87-98 make difficult these spectra interpretation and reduce the SACP measurements energy interval. The idea of a two-step background subtraction is discussed. On the example of 170Lu decay it was demonstrated that this new method of Compton background subtration results in full disappearance of these unwanted bachground structures. 3 refs.; 6 figs

[en] In this work a method is suggested of a search for nonstatistical regularities in behaviour of radiative strength fucntion of primary γ-transitions from the (n, γ) reaction. The correlation analysis of the primary γ-transition intensities for the 174Yb, 168Er, 178Hf nuclei has been carried out on the basis of the data from thermal and 2 keV neutron capture experiments. The positive values obtained for the correlation coefficient in the case of 174Yb and 168Er allow the conclusion to be made, at a high level of confidence, about the presence of considerable deviations of the radiative strength function from mean statistical value. 20 refs.; 6 figs.; 1 tab

[en] When the compton background is subtracted by the Bogdzel method, background structures remain in the differential spectrum of two-quantum cascades, which impede the interpretation of the spectra and decrease energy range of measurements in the spectrum. The idea of a two-stage subtraction of the background is discussed. Using 170Lu decay by way of example, it is shown that the new method of the background subtraction results in total disappearance of the above-mentioned background structures in differential spectra. 3 refs.; 6 figs
