AbstractAbstract
[en] Gluon fusion is the main production mechanism of Higgs bosons at the LHC and SSC for Higgs masses below ∼700 GeV. The coupling of the Higgs to two gluons is built-up by quark-loops with heavy quarks giving the dominant contribution. The [two loop] QCD corrections to this process will be presented for arbitrary Higgs and top masses. This study includes the production of the Standard Model Higgs boson as well as of the neutral CP-even and -odd SUSY-Higgs particles. We find large corrections which cannot be neglected in experimental analyses of this production mechanism. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The measurement of the hadronic Z branching ratios and jet angular distributions can set stringent limits on static quark properties, radii and anomalous (Z) magnetic moments. For heavy quarks, in particular the third generation, e+e- annihilation is the only method to measure these quantities. Bounds on radii of the order 10-16 cm down to 10-17 cm can be expected from LEP experiments. The radii and magnetic moments can be interrelated in phenomenological models for quark substructures. AbstractAbstract
[en] The couplings of Higgs particles to two photons are analyzed in the threshold region, where the Higgs mass is about twice the loop-particle mass. The amplitude of the pseudoscalar decay A→γγ for pseudoscalar masses in the range of (tt-bar)-bound state masses is calculated in leading and next-to-leading order in αs. It is shown that the real and imaginary parts of the form factor are significantly different from the lowest order perturbative one. 27 refs.; 5 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] In the MSSM (Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model) scalar h, H production is mediated by heavy quark and squark loops. The higher order QCD corrections have been obtained some time ago and turned out to be large. The full SUSY-QCD corrections have been obtained recently including the full mass dependence of the loop particles. We describe our calculation and present first numerical results. We also address the question of the proper treatment of the large gluino mass limit, i.e. the consistent decoupling of heavy gluino effects, and present the effective Lagrangian for decoupled gluinos. AbstractAbstract
[en] The two-loop OMIKRON (αsGFmt2) corrections to the b anti b decay rate of the Standard Model Higgs boson as well as its production via e+e-→ZH will be presented. These QCD corrections are obtained by using a low-energy theorem for light Higgs bosons compared to the top quark mass. The results yield strong screening effects of the OMIKRON (GFmt2) contributions. After that the two-loop QCD corrections to the γγ and gluonic decays of the Higgs bosons of the Standard Model and its minimal supersymmetric extension are discussed. While the corrections to the γγ decays remain small of OMIKRON (αs) they are huge ∝50-70% in the case of the gluonic decays. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The concept of permanent hyperpigmentation in wounds following ultraviolet light exposure during the postoperative period has found a place in plastic surgical literature but has not been documented. This study evaluates the effect of ultraviolet light on healing wounds in paraplegics. It failed to confirm permanent alteration in pigmentation response to ultraviolet exposure and suggests that other factors are of greater importance in the development of hyperpigmentation in the healing wound

AbstractAbstract
[en] Gluon fusion is the main production mechanism for Higgs bosons in pp collisions at LHC and SSC. We present the QCD corrections to the fusion cross section in the Higgs mass range below the top-antitop threshold: gg→H(g), gq→Hq and qanti q→Hg. The QCD corrections increase the cross section σ(pp→H) by about 50%. [We have also determined the QCD corrections to the gluonic width of the Higgs boson H→gg(g) and gqanti q which, for the intermediate mass range, can be measured in e+e- colliders. The corrections are large, being of the order of 60%.]

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have determined the QCD corrections to the production of squark-antisquark pairs in p anti p collisions at the Tevatron. If the next-to-leading order corrections are taken into account, the renormalization/factorization scale dependence of the theoretical prediction for the cross section is reduced considerably. The higher order corrections increase the production cross section at the Tevatron by about a factor two if we compare the next-to-leading order prediction at a scale near the sqaurk mass with the lowest order prediction for which, in the experimental analyses, the scale was identified with the invariant energy of the parton subprocess. This results in a rise of the experimental lower bound on the squark mass from the Tevatron by about 20 GeV. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The total cross section for neutral Higgs boson production via the gluon fusion mechanism including NLO (two-loop) QCD corrections can be calculated numerically with the program HIGLU within the Standard Model (SM) as well as its minimal supersymmetric extension (MSSM). The program HDECAY determines the decay widths and branching ratios of the Higgs bosons within the SM and the MSSM, including the dominant higher-order corrections. The program is able to calculate the branching ratios of the MSSM Higgs bosons into standard and supersymmetric particles. (orig.)
