[en] The simple approximation formulae are obtained for the average number of particles in the shower in the maximum range respect to the energy spectrum of secondary particles. The obtained curves agree with the data obtained by the momentum method with the accuracy not worse than 15%. The simple analytical expression is obtained for the effective generation layer of shower containing more than n electrons

[en] A method is developed to restore the parameters of EAS detected by the experimental set-up. The advantage of this method is in the possibility of EAS treating in a wide interval of the number of particles, from 103 to 106. On the example of the ANI-83 experiment the restored EAS parameters are simulated and the accuracy of their estimates is analyzed. The possibility for detection and analysis of multicore showers on the ANI-83 installation is investigated. A method for optimization of the scintillation detector rug for registration of multicore EAS has been developed. 10 refs.; 4 figs

[en] An analysis of capabilities of the available methods for determination of the field integral in muon magnetic spectrometers is made. Some difficulties connected with the use of these methods under the conditions of the ANI magnetic spectrometer are shown. A computerized simulation technique for determination of the field integral based on the use of a vertical flux of cosmic muons is proposed and substantiated. [en] The efficiency of registration and identification of muon trajectories in the ANI magnetic spectrometer when using a modular system (drift tubes) of coordinate detectors is calculated. Modules with sensitive area of 0.1 m2 are shown to be inefficient in the investigation of the energy spectrum of muons in EAS for energies Eμ>1 TeV. For successful solving the muon problem in the ANI experiment the sensitive area of the coordinate detector modules must be increased up to 0.01-0.03 m2. 9 refs.; 4 figs.; 1 tab

[en] A method of maximum prpbability for the restoration of parameters of an electron-photon cascade on X-ray films is proposed. The technique and accuracies of the restoration of energy and spatial parameters of cascades, simulated by Monte Carlo method, are described. The maximum probability method allows to obtain the maximum accuracies of parameter evaluation. The results may be used in data processing of emulsion experiments of large areas (Pamir etc.) using automatic scanning on a PDS type machine

[en] Numerical and analytical methods of experimental installation light gathering power calculation are considered. The analysis of gathering numerical algorithms is carried out. The algorithm of light power calculation of real experimental installations by means of the Monte Carlo method is described in detail. The user SV program instruction meant for the light gathering power calculation of experimental installations by the Monte Carlo method is enclosed. The SV program is written in FORTRAN-DUBNA and intended for operation on the BESM-6 computer. The light gathering powers of . installations allocated on the Aragats mountain are calculated. The light gathering power calculation of the average complexity installation by the SV program with a number of statistical tests 105 takes approximately 2 minutes of BESM-6 computer time
