[en] Experience on computer controlled correction of proton beam direction at the IHEP neutrino beam channel has been described. Proof for choosing the correction layout is presented. Information on control program is given and results on program operation are presented. Velocity of correction convergence depending on the fact, which magnets and coordinate delta-chambers take part in the correction, and on the degree of the channel optics misaling has been under study

[en] The paper is devoted to determining the total cross section of interaction of f-mesons with nucleons on the basis of analysis of incoherent production of f-mesons on a xenon nucleus followed by the f→2π⁰ decay. The f meson production by π^- mesons at 3.2 GeV/c was studied. From the total number of events with two π⁰ mesons the cases of the f mesons production on individual nucleons of a nucleus are discriminated, i.e., the number of the π^-+(p)→n+f(f→2π⁰) reactions is determined. The total cross section of f meson interaction with nucleons is equal to (42.5+-9) mbarn

[en] Considered is a new coordinate method of the processing of bubble xenon chamber images with the aid of the PSP-2 automatic scanner. Algorithms of programs of identification and filtration of tracks are described as well as geometrical restoration programs. Evaluations of the accuracy of calculations of γ-quantum energy, Esub(Δ)/E=20%, depth and azimuthal angles, Δchisub(j)=3.2; ΔF=1⁰, are obtained based on the data processing of a series of events with the production of γ quanta (Ksub(S)+2π⁰)

[en] The method of magnetic-optical system control and correction based on measuring beam centre of gravity is discussed. The requirements imposed on the detectors and their location in the beam transport system are treated. Some examples are given. All the results have been derived in the framework of the first order theory. The described method for beam optiCs correction and control can be applied in all cases where some aperture margin exists. The advantage of the method is soft requirements for calibration measurements. Besides, the determination of the coordinate of the beam bending center in a correction magnet can be performed by noncontact detectors that is especially important in the cases when introducing a matter into the beam is not admissible due to radiation and other conditions

[en] A software for automatic and semiautomatic measurement systems used for processing images from the 80-cm liquid hydrogen chamber is described. Some peculiarities of programs providing both geometrical and kinematics analyses and also identification and cataloging of recorded events are considered. Programs are written in FORTRAN and adapted for the ES computers
