AbstractAbstract
[en] Nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering and nucleon induced deuteron breakup were studied in the energy range of the incoming nucleon Elab=10+70 MeV. Rigorous Faddeev three-nucleon continuum calculations were performed with realistic, meson-exchange based on nucleon-nucleon interactions. Predictions gained with the Paris or Bonn potentials were compared with existing experimental data. For some elastic scattering observables very good quantitative description results are obtained. It was shown that careful study of particular elastic scattering polarization observables will play a role to nail down unsettled nucleon-nucleon force properties, which remain open by present day 2N experimental data. To such properties belong f.e. the charge independence breaking of the NN interaction in 3p waves or the proper strength of the 3S1-3D1 tensor force. Kinematically complete experimental data for various breakup configurations have been analysed. Significant discrepancies between theory and experiment found for some configurations can probably be attributed to the action of the 3-nucleon force. 97 refs., 7 figs. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of 3-neutron resonance study performed in the framework of configuration space Faddeev equations are presented. Three neutrons were allowed to interact in selected force components taken from realistic nn forces. The importance of keeping a sufficient number of terms in the asymptotic expansion of the resonance wave function is pointed out. The results achieved makes it likely, that three-neutron resonance energies will have large imaginary parts. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two-nucleon phase-shift ambiguities in the 3P states are illustrated. We take advantage of that fact and introduce new charge-independence and charge-symmetry breaking 3P phases. They are generated by slight modifications of the Bonn B potential which, used in the three-nucleon system, remove persistent discrepancies in the low-energy pd and nd analysing powers. Three-nucleon observables are proposed to test experimentally these modifications of the 3P two-nucleon forces. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recently a short range modification of the triplet odd LS force for the Paris potential has been proposed, which leads to a good description of the low-energy three-nucleon analyzing power Ay. We verified the fact by an independent code. Information on the nucleon-nucleon interaction is stressed. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method to solve the AGS equations in momentum space is presented. The two-nucleon transition operators are generated with the new Bonn potential restricted to the states 1S0, 3S1-3D1, 3P0, 1P1, 3P1, 3P2-3F2, 1D2 and 3D2. Cross sections and analyzing powers for elastic and break-up processes are calculated at a neutron laboratory energy En = 10.3 MeV. 31 refs.; 8 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The interaction of a nucleon with the deuteron leading to break-up at the quasi-free scattering (QFS) condition is studied at EN(lab) = 12.0, 22.7, 68.0, and 140.0 MeV. Results of rigorous Faddeev calculations and of the impulse approximation (IA) are compared at these energies for both n-p and p-p QFS in order to study the importance of rescattering terms. For the two-nucleon interaction the Paris potential is used. It is restricted to act in two-body states with total angular momentum j ≤ 2. Also the Faddeev calculations are compared with experimental data for the QFS cross section and analyzing power and overall agreement is found. The behaviour of scattering observables turns out to be different for n-p and p-p QFS. Also the energy dependence of rescattering terms is different in the two cases. For all energies studied the IA is not reliable. 18 refs.; 12 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Polarization observables in low-energy proton-deuteron radiative capture have been calculated using the Bonn-B nucleon-nucleon potential. Their sensitivity to the changes of the 3Pj nucleon-nucleon force components has been studied. Modifications of these forces, which drastically diminished the permanent discrepancy between the data and theory for the vector-analyzing power in low-energy nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering, have only small effects on the pd capture observables.
