[en] The problem of powerful electron beam tansport through a thin dielectric target is considered. The process is described by kinetic equation or fast electron flux, which is solved together with the electric field equation and with the equation, describing the law of target material conductivity change, depending on radiation field. The above-mentioned system of equations is solved, using the method of higher order perturbation theory. The role of volumetric charge of the thermalized electrons beam in the process of energy transfer from the beam to the target is shown

[en] Results of a numerical study of the interaction of an intense electron beam with a material are given. It is shown that energy transfer to the target material, aside from nonelastic collisions, is effected by the transition of the fast electron-field interaction Coulomb energy to the thermal energy in the scattering of the space charge generating the field. The studies reveal that the growth of the decreasing current density at the same medium conductivity leads to the redistribution of the energy being lost in the material, and an attempt has been made to explain the effect of abnormal energy absorption in thin foils as an intense electron beam passes through them

[en] The effect of the self-field of an intense relativistic electron beam on its interaction with a dense medium was studied by solving a system of equations consisting of the kinetic equation for the fast electrons, the hydrodynamic equations for the plasma electrons, and Maxwell's equations for the electromagnetic field. It was assumed that the macroscopic parameters of the medium (its density, conductivity, and electron collision frequency) were independent of time. The system of equations was solved using high-order perturbation theory. The results show that a magnetic field is formed by the beam of fast electrons and to an equal degree by a current of thermalized electrons, which has not been taken into account before. It is shown also that the magnetic field of the beam affects its transmission through matter. In particular, the penetration depth of the electrons in matter and the transverse dimensions of the beam are both smaller than in a weak-current beam
