AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of the experiment on the extraction of fluorine parent nucleus fragments (19F), 12B, 14C, 16N, etc. from the internal target of the JINR synchrotron via the slow extraction channel are presented. The upper boundary of the yield of fragments with fractional charge (Z = 7.7) is evaluated. Characteristics of the fragment momenta distribution are measured. The momentum of 19F primary nuclei is approximately 4 GeV/c nucl. The study of secondary nuclei, formed in the synchrotron internal target permitted to determine charge composition and intensity of secondary nuclei beams: in C14 nuclei extraction mode its partial intensity is 70 %, the yield of C14 nuclei into the channel per one 19F primary nucleus is 3 x 10-5. Cross section of fluorine nucleus charge-exchange into oxygen is evaluated: σ(19F → 19O) ≅ 3 x 10-29 cm2. At the level 3 x 10-31 cm2 no nuclei with fractional charges were found

[en] The aim of this work is to increase the efficiency of muon track reconstruction and estimate a number of electromagnetic secondaries in the muon detector on experimental data of the Integrated Test set-up, the prototype of CMS end cap segment. The experimental data have shown that the high energy beam of muons (100-300 GeV) produces 20-25% of events with electromagnetic secondaries. Though the muon coordinate measurements were distorted by secondaries, we have managed to obtain a high efficiency (≥ 92%) of the muon track reconstruction
