AbstractAbstract
[en] The neutralizing efficiency of sodium vapour for lithium ion beam has been measured. Spodumene is used for the ion source. The charge-exchange cell consists of a neutralization tube of 2.5 cm in diameter and about 12 cm equivalent in length with an oven in which sodium is vaporized. The detector is a compound Faraday-cup. In the beam energy range of 1 to 8 keV, the neutralizing efficiency varies from 96% at 1 keV to 94% at 8 keV

[en] Distinguishing thermal ions from superthermal ions, the ion heating in the HL-1M plasma with neutral beam injection is discussed. Experimental results show that the ion heating caused by the neutral beam can be recognized, although the electron-ion collision heating remained dominant

AbstractAbstract
[en] The first experiment of neutral beam injection heating on the HL-1M tokamak was carried out in 1998. During neutral beam injection, the change of the plasma ion temperature was measured with a charge-exchange neutral particle energy spectrometer. The results showed that the ion temperature increased nearly two times in the case of highly efficient heating

AbstractAbstract
[en] A hydrogen atomic beam probe device for measuring plasma ion density is described in this paper. It has many features, such as simple constructure, low equivalent intensity of neutral beam and a special Complex Faraday Cup. The measuring results of plasma ion density in a modelling plasma is presented. The result shows the ion density is increased as the discharge voltage increased. The acquisition and processing of the experimental data are completed by a on-line data analyzing system with a voltage waveform storage unit

AbstractAbstract
[en] The ion temperature of plasma in the HL-1M tokamak has been measured with an 8-channel neutral particle energy spectrometer which was developed and calibrated by the authors. Ion temperature profiles have been obtained under different discharge conditions such as the laser blow-off, pellet injection, supersonic molecular beam injections, LHW (lower hybrid wave) heating, etc. The ion temperature reaches 900 eV when heated with pure ohmic heating, and 1100 eV when heated with LHW heating

AbstractAbstract
[en] The construction, testing and experimental results of a 30 keV lithium ion source for plasma diagnostics are presented. The emission performance of a spodumene emitter is compared with that of a beta-eucryptite emitter. A lithium ion beam of 376 μA has been extracted from the ion source at 30.5 keV

[en] The measurement of ion temperature on the HL-1 tokamak using a six channel neutral particles analyzer is described. During a discharge, temperatures were measured in every 30-50 ms. A typical value of the ion temperature in the plasma core was 474 eV. In comparison, the Artsimovich empirical scaling law gives 450 eV

AbstractAbstract
[en] The impurity VUV radiation characteristics of plasma in the HL-1M Tokamak are given with LHCD. The ion temperature has been measured by means of Doppler-broadened lines. During the LHCD Period, the plasma confinement property was improved, and the ion temperature was risen when higher electron density (ne ≅ 4 x 1019 m-3)
