About us
The association of municipalities of Northeast Iceland (SSNE) is a central hub for regional development. Our role is to promote and support lively communities, vibrant cultural scenes and strong economic activity in the area. We act as a bridge between government, municipalities and private sector. We offer assistance for everyone interested in building up the economy, culture and community of Northeast Iceland. One of our key projects is overseeing Uppbyggingarsjóður, a public fund that provides grants for innovation, culture and business development.
