Last Tuesday, after having listened to our Managing Director Simone's and our CEO Fausto's speeches, we celebrated our Christmas dinner party at the social cooperative 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 in Valmadrera, taking the occasion to support this charitable organization in achieving its purpose: promoting the job placement of young people at high risk of social exclusion. We ate delicious food, played fun games, and listened to live music played by some colleagues of ours: all the ingredients you need to cook a perfect Christmas dinner party. Also this year Digitec turns Christmas into a moment of solidarity: we have decided to support L'Africa Chiama Onlus ONG by giving their "ethical panettoni" to our colleagues! Our participation in this initiative - named "Food is Life" - can provide over 4,800 children in Tanzania with food: every panettone purchased guarantees 55 nustritious meals. After having held four workshops on Lean thinking and Vision, Integrity and Teamwork, our Managing Director Simone Re presented another Value of ours, 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Thanks also to Fausto - our CEO - we talked about the three Competences which describe this Value: Creativity, Initiative, and Resilience. Recently, we welcomed in Digitec a special guest, the psychologist Monica Bormetti, founder of Smart Break, a project which promotes the 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲. Thanks to her knowledge, she led an insightful session on 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐀𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬. Together, we explored the role of AI in stimulating our critical thinking by asking ourselves three important questions: - How can you use AI in your job?  - What’s the aspect of your human job that AI can never replace?  - Today, for which tasks do you use AI in your work? Dr. Bormetti also addressed the issue of 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 and shared useful methods to manage it, such as practicing 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
