Epsilon Italia srl is an independent SME established in 1996 in Mendicino (IT). The company provides the end users with innovative and technologically advanced solutions in the geospatial domain (GIS, WEBGIS, SDIs - Spatial Data Infrastructures, Satellite Remote Sensing - marine and terrestrial applications, GI Standards). Epsilon Italia offers technical support and vocational training to Public Administrations and to private entities in these fields, and it’s also deeply involved in Research & Development activities, carried out either on its own or in partnership with national and international Universities and Research Centres. Many are the projects co-funded by the European Commission under different programs (FP7, ICT-PSP, LIFE, Leonardo) in which it was/is responsible of work packages and tasks related to INSPIRE implementations. It is member of the OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium. The workshop on “Interoperability - approaches in food supply chain” jointly organized by the two sisters projects TRUSTFOOD and DIS4SME Project is ongoing! Giacomo Martirano from Epsilon Italia presents the DIS4SME training offer and in particular the two Business Cases dealing with 🚗Mobile food marketplace and 🥦 Agriculture and tailored to SME owners/manager and SME technicians and job seekers. FAIRiCUBE's Knowledge Base services Sharing the experience of project use cases is key to achieving FAIRiCUBE’s core goal of bringing the power of data cubes and machine learning to actors beyond the classic EO domains. The Knowledge Base services have been designed for this purpose. They are currently under development (prototype phase). Guidance, recommendations, technical and implementation expertise on data analysis and processing are readily available to users through two interacting platforms: the Community Collaboration Platform and the Knowledge Base Platform. The first provides simplified access to the documentation of the FAIRiCUBE Hub and the resources of the use cases: Getting Started, Examples, Self-Training Library on Machine Learning and Data Cubes. The exchange of information between experts/users also takes place through the FAIRiCUBE dedicated GitHub repositories. The second provides simplified access to analysis & processing resources. We are excited to announce that our first newspaper article for the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien Use Case of the FAIRiCUBE project has been published. Last week we started outreach for our Citizen Science project “Vienna City Fly”. We want to encourage potential helpers with a webpage and a registration survey, the aim is to sample Drosophila melanogaster from April to October in Vienna with their help. Already 50 volunteers registered within the first week. The national newspaper “Heute” helped us spreading the news and survey, also mentioning @FAIRiCUBE in their article.
