We are thrilled to say that our Applaydu app has been honoured with an array of global awards recently! 🏆9 wins 🏆7 finalists 🏆15 prestigious recognitions 🏅The Drum Awards Festival, which celebrates the very best work from the world of marketing and media, awarded Applaydu with two Gold awards for Best Digital Experience: Mobile App and Content, and a Silver award for Digital Experience: FMCG . 🏅Additionally, Applaydu was the winner in the gaming category for Best Cause: Youth and Family at the 9th Annual Shorty Impact Awards. We're thrilled to have participated once again in this year's TR Business Travel Retail Sustainability Week. This digital conference is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices within the travel retail and duty-free industry. During the event, Ylenia Maitino, Group Public Policy Sustainability Manager at Ferrero, presented in the session, "Nature is the New Carbon – Why Biodiversity and Water Matter More Than We Think," highlighting the critical role that Ferrero plays, as a global player, in safeguarding nature for future generations, through our effort in 4 key areas: · 🌱 Protecting the Environment · 🌾 Responsible Sourcing of Ingredients · 🍫 Promoting Responsible Consumption · 👥 Empowering People Her presentation also emphasized the importance of collaborating with institutions, NGOs, and CSOs to promote effective policies and to leverage on their expertise, and the key role of technology innovation to enhance traceability through data collection and monitoring. We believe all children have a right to sports, and this is one of the reasons why we introduced Kinder Joy of moving twenty years ago. The programme brings joy to children through movement, encouraging their natural inclination to be active, to move and to play. It teaches them skills that they can take with them long into adulthood. After all, a happy child today will make a better adult tomorrow. Our Head of Institutional Affairs and Sustainability at Ferrero Germany, Aldo Cristiano, recently spoke at CAOBISCO Congress 2024 in Brussels. The session focused on sustainability in the confectionary sector, and the challenges faced by the industry. Aldo highlighted that Ferrero stands ready to work with nations in implementing systems designed to bring about greater transparency, reduce deforestation and support human rights within our supply chains. We have been building long-term, supportive relationships with our suppliers, ensuring they acknowledge our responsible sourcing values. We are also in support of mitigation programmes that address complex supply chain challenges like deforestation and child labour through our collaborations with NGOs, universities, authorities and industry bodies.
