Just found this advice on 10 career hacks I wished that I learned in my 20s- credit to Justin Wright. There is some great advice here which reflect many of the themes that emerged from the variety of career stories that we collated in Europe during our The Coca-Cola Company Career Month this past May. All 10 resonate with me but, if I had to pick just three that I would share with my 20 something self they would be: 1) Network smart - not just having people around who push me to do better, but also who help me get my job done, and who make me laugh and keep me sane when the going gets tough! 2) Dream big with your goals (and then go after them) - whether you term it imposter syndrome or not, I have, at times, been my own worst enemy so I would advise myself not to get so stuck in my own head. But, on the flip side, I have also dreamt big and taken some big risks which have definitely paid off. Moving to Spain in my mid twenties was one and leaving BP for Coca-Cola was another. 3) Choose your manager and not just your job - I have been lucky enough to have some amazing managers throughout the course of my career (including my current manager who is the best!) and that makes all the difference in terms of personal and professional well-being. I've been lucky enough to only have had a toxic manager just the one time - and that was a very very long 18-months! What would your top 3 be? Helen Clark #careermonth #careers
