❓What to do when you have high volumes of samples to test❓ Today's paradigms are more speed and efficiency, the world is running and competition is increasing. It's a fact that globalization has given us so many benefits and so many interconnections, but today's companies also face increasingly rapid changes...and they are not always ready. If you have to do everything faster you will easily do everything with less quality. If the quality of the product gets worse you will have to reduce your price but that doesn't necessarily save you from losing customers, quite the contrary! So what to do? 🌟GIbitre Instruments srl also asked these questions and developed an innovative automatic sample molding system for its Laboratory Press! 🌟 The device makes it possible to automate plate and specimen preparation operations by placing the products to be moulded, and their identification labels, on the loading belt. The device can be used for both rubber and thermoplastic product specimen preparation. ‘Power is nothing without control’ said a famous advertising slogan more than 30 years ago. There is little point in imposing immense pressure on a material if it is not in the right condition to be moulded. Temperature management in a laboratory press is a key aspect of successful specimen making; in fact, it uses the principles of heat transfer to change the internal energy of the materials involved, according to the First Law of Thermodynamics. Heat and pressure help to mould the material into the desired shape, resulting in accurate and consistent products. How to make a tool like this versatile? By giving it the ability to adjust the applied pressure and temperatures involved! This is how the GIbitre Instruments srl Laboratory Press becomes perfect for both rubber and polymer materials. ✅ The heating of the press surfaces is carried out by means of flat heating elements specially designed to meet the requirements of the ISO 2393 standard which admits a maximum difference of ± 0.5 °C inside the surface of the platens. The temperature calibration is carried out through a rigorous control procedure which involves the measurement of 10 points distributed within the molding area. ✅ The cooling of the press platens during the molding cycle is necessary for the molding of thermoplastic materials because the material must be cooled down to the solidification temperature before opening the mold. GIbitre Instruments srl presses can be equipped with an efficient cooling device that allows the temperature reduction of the platens at a controlled speed (down to -50°C/min). The cooling device consists of a cooling circuit that can be connected to a demineralised water supply source or to a chiller. Offering quality instruments does not always mean offering ‘safe’ instruments, so the topic of safety is often overlooked in favour of other functions and optionals that do little to offer a user experience oriented towards the well-being of the technicians. GIbitre Instruments srl has always placed safety of those who use its instruments at the heart of its projects; consider, for example, the Laboratory Press: what did we ask ourselves when designing the new model? How it would be used by a skilled operator and how we could make his working day as easy as possible.
