A former President of Consob and Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Vegas succeeds Eugenio Belloni, who led the Foundation for twenty-five years and now assumes the role of President Emeritus. It focuses on the European Commission's decisions taken under Regulation 1/2003 pursuant to both 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝟕 (procedures requiring companies to cease the anticompetitive conduct and restore fair market conditions) and 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝟗 (procedures which, in the absence of an established infringement, allow companies to propose voluntary remedies to close the case without further sanctions). GA managed all legal aspects with a highly specialized team, supported in its analysis by NERA for the economic analysis. 🔍 This first-of-its-kind study, launched in October 2022, is part of DG Competition’s broader efforts to improve enforcement practices and policies based on economic ex post evaluation. The report analyzes over 100 remedy decisions adopted in the past 20 years and includes 12 in-depth case studies to provide detailed insights. 🎯 The objective is to identify areas for improvement in the Commission’s Antitrust Remedies policy and procedures, ensuring fair competition and market integrity across the EU. 💡 For over 25 years, GA Brussels has been the leading legal advisor to the European Institutions, ensuring the harmonization and effectiveness of European law. GA News | SALC secures Moldova’s victory as Svea Court of Appeal upholds Arbitral award SALC Advokatbyrå, member of the GA, acting through lawyers Dan Engström and Elin Nilsson, have successfully represented the Republic of Moldova in an Investor-State dispute. On February 14, 2025, the Svea Court of Appeal in Stockholm, (Sweden), rejected the application filed by Komaksavia Airport Invest Ltd (“Komaksavia”) against the Republic of Moldova regarding the set-aside of an arbitral award of August 3, 2022, issued by an arbitral tribunal under the Rules of the SCC Arbitration Institute (previously the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce).
