"We believe that ICOP chose the right time to go public. After having secured a huge backlog that provides high visibility over the next two years and pursued a commercial pipeline with a high probability of being converted into new orders, in July 2024 it raised EUR30m in new equity to fund a transformative deal. M&A in the US would mark ICOP's entry into one of the world's largest and most dynamic infrastructure markets, backed by its 50+ years of experience in specialised underground engineering work. So far, the company has been delivering on its pledges, testifying to the sound standalone growth opportunities, underpinned by huge investments in electric grids and gas networks across Italy and Europe. We initiate coverage on ICOP with a Buy rating and a TP of EUR10.8. Based on our prudent approach, we estimate that a US acquisition may add EUR1.2-2.8 per share, implying 13-37% upside from current market prices."

In particular, we Federation have been calling for: ✔️ A coordinated approach to drive tailor-made housing-friendly reforms under the responsibility and competency of Member States. ✔️ The mobilisation of both private and public investment. ✔️ Prudential rules imposed by Basel III to be eased, in order to mobilise private investment. ✔️ Improved access to mortgage loans for households and young people. ✔️ A streamlined regulatory and administrative working environment for construction companies, with clear rules which can accelerate construction processes, lower building costs and eventually create overall affordability. ✔️ Greater support to research and innovation, as well as digitalisation, through EU funds to increase the productivity of the construction industry. ✔️ All relevant actors to further work on raising the attractivity of the sector to tackle the shortage of skilled labour. 🗣️ The #construction industry is ready to work closely with the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Parliament and the Member States to help tackle the current housing crisis.
