I Love Italian Food

On Sunday evening, we held our Aftershow, the #MadeInItaly event in conjunction with #SIAL Paris. The networking evening, hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute, welcomed industry professionals and buyers, who were delighted by Italy’s finest food and wine offerings. The event was enriched by three culinary performances featuring two-Michelin-starred chef Gennaro Esposito, chef Massimo Tringali, an Italian star in Paris and head chef at the Armani Café, and Davide Civitiello, the ambassador of Neapolitan pizza worldwide. A special thanks to our 100% Italian partners who contributed to making this wonderful evening possible: Granterre, Mulino Caputo, Latteria Sorrentina, Ciao Pomodoro, Acetaia Bellei, Frantoi Cutrera, Akrille, Geofoods, and Galvanina. Thank you also to EnotecaCatering for managing the service and kitchen for the evening.

The Italian Show London is over. The third English edition was a success, with over 1,500 food service professionals attending the event dedicated to authentic Made in Italy. During the event, thirty performers took turns across four stages, discussing topics such as restaurant and hospitality management, haute cuisine, pizza, pastry, the secrets of tomatoes in cooking, pizza "a portafoglio", and "maritozzo." Attendees also enjoyed tastings of the best wines from across Italy and cocktails made with amari and vermouth. But that's not all — the six-hour event also hosted the final competition for the "Best Upcoming Chef of Italian Cuisine," judged by a truly exceptional panel. We would like to thank Aldo Zilli, Francesco Mazzei, Gennaro Esposito, Renato Bosco, Matteo Manzotti, Davide Civitiello, Alessandro Palazzi, Robert Maggi, Diego Palladino, Michele Pascarella, Filippo la Gattuta, Adamo and the UK Bartender Guild for their time and contributions. A big thanks also to all the Italian supply chain producers who attended and to the technical partners, whose contributions made this event possible. And of course, thanks to the institutions that supported us, and the media partners that spread the word.
