Project Case Studies: IMA AUTOMATION 🚀 Today we have a special Project Case Studies on IMA AUTOMATION, bringing valuable insights on innovation and technology in the sector! 🎙️ Giulio Borzoni, special projects engineer in the mechanical R&D department at IMA AUTOMATION, shares his experience in advanced solutions for the production of automatic lines for electric motors. The company develops two main product families: ✅ Traditional electric motors - with round-section copper wires and windings ✅ Traction motors with Hairpin technology - an innovative approach using rectangular copper wires In the manufacturing process, two laser technologies are employed for different stages: 🔹 Laser stripping - carried out with a CO₂ laser that removes the enamel layer from the copper conductor, exposing the pure material for subsequent joining at the soldering station. 🔹 Other mechanical forms of stripping - adapted to customers' needs 💡Want to know more about these cutting-edge technologies? With extensive expertise in hairpin technology, alongside a range of winding and assembly solutions tailored for the automotive sector, in particular E-mobility, and other industrial sectors.
