In a world dominated by algorithms and curated feeds, people are rediscovering the power of instinct and curiosity 🌿✨ From creativity to learning and shopping, consumers are embracing spontaneity and "rabbit hole" exploration, prioritizing emotional resonance and gut #instincts over pre-designed paths. Leaning into raw, intuitive expression, they're moving away from algorithmic recommendations, favoring unfiltered, self-guided discovery instead. This trend highlights a growing desire for #authenticity and #serendipity, offering brands a unique opportunity to connect with their audiences on a deeper, more intuitive level. One of our key trends in our 2025 annual report is "Muted Desire", where consumers will lean into self-control and minimalism, making “less is more” the new normal. Our Senior Trend Researcher, Elena Marinoni, went through the 3 main insights, starting with "Appetite Redirected". With appetite-suppressing meds reshaping cravings, food is taking on a whole new role. It’s not just about eating anymore—it’s about #synesthesia. Edible-inspired scents, textures, and visuals are popping up in #fashion and #beauty, offering indulgence without a bite. In 2024, food-inspired marketing took off, and it’s only going to get more creative. Just look at DOLCE&GABBANA Beauty’s latest spot, "Il Pranzo," for the perfect example.
