Later, General David H. Petraeus, US Army (Ret.), interviewed by Alexandra de Hoop Scheffer, PhD, provided an expert analysis of geopolitical stability in the Middle East, while Agustín Carstens and Santander CEO, Héctor Grisi Checa, examined how the future of finance must be built on collaboration and shared innovations like AI and blockchain.
Insights from Bank of Spain Governor, José Luis Escrivá, addressed integrating growth and competitiveness, with additional discussions from Enrico Letta and Mairead McGuinness on investing in Europe’s future, and Klaas Knot on maintaining financial stability.
A dedicated session on Latin America covered regional growth and economic potential, followed by talks on AI’s impact on financial services, featuring perspectives from Uljan Sharka of iGenius and Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl of DigitalEurope.
In the afternoon, former NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, joined virtually to discuss global security challenges, followed by an interview with Jim Messina on the implications of the upcoming U.S. elections.
James Harding closed the day with reflections on resilience and innovation as cornerstones for today’s financial sector.
