We share some moments of the field work "Practical demonstration of fumarole sampling and thermal imaging. Measurements of soil CO2 emissions with the accumulation chamber", during the course 'Geochemical and geophysical methods for volcano monitoring and geothermal exploration', with PhD and post-PhD students, organized by INGV and West Systems. The activity takes place at the Biancane natural park, a geothermal area in the Tuscany region and in this context, the students practice measuring soil CO2 emission with the accumulation chamber using the "West Systems portable fluxmeter"

Seguiamo alcuni momenti del corso IMPROVE "Geochemical and geophysical methods for volcano monitoring and geothermal exploration", insieme a studenti di dottorato e post-PhD. Il corso sulla misura e interpretazione dei dati geochimici in ambiente vulcanico e geotermico, include un focus sulle misure del flusso diffuso di CO2 con la camera di accumulo che include teoria, pratica in campo il "West Systems portable fluxmeter" e la elaborazione statistica dei dati.

West Systems è pronta ad ospitare lo Specialized Short Course di IMPROVE "Geochemical and geophysical methods for volcano monitoring and geothermal exploration". Il corso che si terrà dal 30 settembre al 3 ottobre presso la nostra sede di Pontedera (Pisa), è diretto a studenti di dottorato e post-PhD e sarà incentrato sulla misura e interpretazione dei dati geochimici in ambiente vulcanico e geotermico. Fra le varie tecniche, ci sarà un focus particolare sulle misure del flusso diffuso di CO2 con la camera di accumulo, che includerà teoria, pratica ed elaborazione statistica dei dati.
