With the inauguration of the section from San Cristoforo FS to San Babila, Milan celebrates the completion of the entire M4 Line! The new route spans 21 stations in just 30 minutes, covering approximately 15 kilometers from Milan’s far western outskirts to Linate Airport in the east, passing through the city center and within the Navigli area. The International Astronautical Congress provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the full potential and cutting-edge technology of our venue. The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, arrived at Allianz MiCo to open the International Astronautical Congress, the annual event on space and space technologies organised by the International Astronautical Federation, hosted by Associazione Italiana di Aeronautica e Astronautica (AIDAA) and co-hosted by Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and Leonardo. Our venue proudly managed the largest gathering of space professionals in history, with over 11,000 participants, 30 astronauts, and the first-ever Global Space Leaders Summit, featuring more than 60 heads and leaders of space agencies from across the globe. Among those welcoming President Mattarella were astronauts Luca Parmitano, Samantha Cristoforetti, Paolo Nespoli and many others; the Minister of Economic Development of the Italian Republic, Adolfo Urso; Lombardy Region President, Attilio Fontana; and the Mayor of Milan, Beppe Sala and many more.
