Valla's charity committee has made a donation to Caring Cooks to help with their wonderful work providing meals to families in need. We're so happy to be able to support this charity, especially at this time of year. We hope that this can bring a little bit of festive joy!

VALLA is delighted to announce that four of its staff recently completed the JET Jaunt. The JET Jaunt was a fundraiser for the Jersey Employment Trust, a charity that provides valuable and inclusive services that make employment and vocational training more accessible to people with disabilities. VALLA takes its corporate social responsibility seriously and was proud to support this important local charity by sponsoring two teams to compete in the race. Curtis Chilvers and Mark Baker were appointed to team one, while Sophie Oliveira and Millie Moscardini were appointed to team two. Teams were challenged to quickly navigate a route from St Malo to Monaco over two days while completing a series of challenges. The teams were asked to choose any mode of transport other than a car or aeroplane to reach Monaco. The JET Jaunt route took them across France with must-stops including St Malo, Rennes, Paris, Dijon, Le Puy-en-Velay, Turin (Italy), and Monaco. While they were in two separate teams, they decided to complete the race together. With 40+ hours of nearly no food and sleep, this wasn't an adventure for the faint-hearted. Even though our teams didn't finish first, they were awarded the most frugal prize, having spent just £129 per person on their journey from St Malo to Monaco, which is incredible. We've written a blog to celebrate their epic adventure, capturing their journey's highs and lows. Click here to read the blog https://bit.ly/4h8AXXc

And they're off! Millie Moscardini, Sophie Oliveira, Curtis Chilvers, and Mark Baker are all participating in this weekend's JET Jaunt, a fundraising initiative launched by the Jersey Employment Trust to raise funds for its valuable and inclusive services, which support people by making employment and vocational training more accessible to people with disabilities. The JET Jaunt asks the participants to use their guile and initiative to navigate from St Malo to Monaco over the weekend, using any transport they can source, excluding cars. Prizes will be awarded to those who can achieve the fastest finisher, top fundraiser, most eco-friendly journey, and most frugal journey. They must also attend checkpoints throughout their journey, which includes St Malo, Rennes, Paris, Dijon and Le-Puy-en Velay, and they can even venture into neighbouring Turin (Italy) for bonus points. They've also been asked to complete specific tasks during the trip. They must prove they have visited Paris by taking a photo outside the Basilica de Sacre Coeur and confirm their trip to Dijon with a photo beside the Owl of Dijon. On their visit to Le-Puy-en Velay, they must also get a picture of a bottle of the famous wine Verveinne du Velay, the renowned wine of Le-Puy-en Velay. Let's hope they don't sample too much of this and scupper their chance of winning! Call this a crazy scavenger hunt with a difference and an entertaining fundraising initiative. We'll be tracking the VALLA teams' progress throughout the weekend and sharing the highs, lows, and funniest moments in a blog next week. VALLA is delighted to announce its participation in the upcoming JET Jaunt, a fundraising adventure organised by local charity Jersey Employment Trust. The race from St Malo to Monaco will be a challenge of brains and initiative, starting this Friday and ending Sunday. Teams of two will compete to be the first to reach Monaco. Participants have been advised that they must pass checkpoints en route to Monaco, so they'll have to determine their route on the fly! Varying modes of transport are also encouraged, so we may see our teams making their way to Monaco on bikes, scooters, and fast trains. VALLA takes our corporate social responsibility seriously and is proud to support this very important local charity by sponsoring two teams to compete in the upcoming race. Curtis Chilvers and Mark Baker will be on team one, while Sophie oliveira and Millie Moscardini will be on team two. While the main prize will be awarded to the first team to reach Monaco, there will also be prizes for the fastest finisher, top fundraiser, most eco-friendly journey, and most frugal journey. We're not sure what mode of transport our teams will use to get to Monaco in the shortest amount of time, but we know they will have loads of fun getting there! We'd also appreciate you supporting our fundraising efforts for this very deserving local charity and our #sportsgiving link is https://lnkd.in/e4Rikq4B Good luck with the upcoming race, Millie, Sophie, Curtis, and Mark. We can't wait to hear all about it!

Before and after pictures from Team Valla at the Wetwheels Jersey Limited True Grit Challenge this weekend. Well done to everyone for braving the rain, mud and obstacles - it was worth it to support such a deserving charity! #teameffort

Well done to our teams! Thoroughly enjoyed some time out of the office to fulfil my role as Valla's "official photographer" yesterday afternoon.
The Valla teams had a great time at the Headway (Jersey) Ltd annual petanque tournament yesterday afternoon. The competition was fierce, with Valla Team 1 (Curtis Chilvers, Millie Moscardini and Julie Blampied) winning more games overall than Valla Team 2 (Harry Le Breton, Cameron Donaldson and Grainne McGinley) and whilst we didn't make it into the top 3, it was a perfect afternoon to raise funds for charity whilst enjoying the fresh air and company of the other competitors. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #charity

Valla were delighted to invite Sarah from Headway (Jersey) Ltd to our offices to donate £1,000 raised by our charity committee. Valla have chosen Headway as our chosen charity for a number of years, and hope that our continued support is a small help towards the amazing work that they do for our island. #charity #community #protectwhatisprecious
