What does responsible drinking mean to you? As a corporate group involved in alcohol beverages, we are committed to fostering responsible drinking practices. Recently, we held an engaging session for our employees led by our Responsible Drinking team. During the session, participants explored the current challenges of harmful use of alcohol and engaged in a responsible drinking quiz. This not only raised participants’ awareness but also encouraged them to reflect on their own understanding and perceptions about drinking. Monika Agocs and Hanna Tabata emphasized the Asahi Group’s efforts in promoting responsible drinking and the vital role each employee plays as responsible drinking ambassador. After the session, participants enjoyed refreshing non-alcohol cocktails by bartenders from our SUMADORI BAR Shibuya. Together, we are making strides towards a culture of responsible drinking. Our Multiculturalism Day gave us the perfect excuse to host a global food fest and bring everyone together! 🍽️ We recently turned our Asahi Terrace, our headquarters' employee lounge, into a vibrant culinary food tour, featuring delicacies from countries that our employees proudly call home. From Indonesia's gado gado salad to Costa Rica's ceviche, South Korea's japchae, India's chicken biryani, and Hungary's töltött káposzta and more, the menu was a true celebration of our team's diversity! The event was a hit, with employees bonding over mouthwatering meals and meaningful chats. COP29, this year’s UN Climate Conference has been a defining moment for multilateral climate action. Asahi Group Holdings was honored to participate in this global dialogue and contribute towards the growing role of the private sector in the decarbonization journey. We’re proud to share an incredible milestone in responsible digital marketing! 🎉 Our members have embedded the Digital Guiding Principles - five key safeguards - across thousands of brands and multiple markets, helping to ensure that alcohol marketing only reaches those above the legal purchase age (LPA). This responds to the call by the United Nations on the sector in 2018 to take "concrete steps" towards eliminating marketing of alcohol products to minors as part of efforts to reduce underage drinking. It also supports the delivery of WHO goals to reduce harmful drinking and reflects our commitment to global health priorities. This year, full compliance has reached 98.2%, a huge improvement from 67% in 2018. What does multiculturalism mean to you? In celebration of Global Multiculturalism Day in the Asahi Group, we hosted a panel session to honor the rich diversity within our organization. Multiculturalism is a cornerstone of Asahi’s DEI global campaigns. Since last year, our employees from all regions have been sharing their unique stories about multiculturalism.
