We’re proud to share an incredible milestone in responsible digital marketing! 🎉 Our members have embedded the Digital Guiding Principles - five key safeguards - across thousands of brands and multiple markets, helping to ensure that alcohol marketing only reaches those above the legal purchase age (LPA). This responds to the call by the United Nations on the sector in 2018 to take "concrete steps" towards eliminating marketing of alcohol products to minors as part of efforts to reduce underage drinking. It also supports the delivery of WHO goals to reduce harmful drinking and reflects our commitment to global health priorities. This year, full compliance has reached 98.2%, a huge improvement from 67% in 2018.
