(feat. (feat. (feat.

GRESB was pleased to co-host the "ESG and Green Financing in Indonesia" forum alongside Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainahaus, and Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC). Bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and investors, the discussion underscored the growing momentum for sustainability in Indonesia’s real estate sector—and the critical role of global standards, regulatory support, and green financing in driving meaningful progress. A few key insights from the discussion: 💰ESG as a driver of investment – Indonesia’s property market is expanding, and alignment with international ESG benchmarks is increasingly vital for attracting global capital. 🪴 The rise of green financing – Thematic bonds and sustainability-linked loans are gaining traction, but clearer KPIs and regulatory frameworks are needed to streamline access. 📄 Challenges in implementation – While sustainability incentives exist, policy enhancements could further encourage the adoption of green building practices. 🌐 Global benchmarks & regional context – Aligning with international standards ensures transparency, but it’s essential to account for local market realities in ESG assessments. At GRESB, we’re committed to equipping the real asset industry with the data, insights, and benchmarks necessary to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. The discussions at this forum reinforced the importance of collaboration across sectors to drive progress. A big thank you to our speakers and partners for making this event a success!

We urge governments to have plans that reflect no new unabated coal in their energy systems whilst allowing for just transition elements to be considered. Having a fair, fast, and well-planned transition will enable new capital flows and investment avenues for renewables.
New NDCs can unlock a prosperous, safer and healthier future. Committing to #NoNewCoal is the key first step. 26 countries and the EU have committed to reflect #NoNewCoal in their NDCs – nations who miss Monday’s NDC deadline still have time to act⏩ https://lnkd.in/edS2JgTC

🖥️ Join the new ASCOR webinar: Tracking national climate action for investors The webinar will present the results of the latest State of Transition in Sovereigns 2024 report by Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) Centre at the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), as part of the Assessing Climate-related Opportunities and Risks (ASCOR) project.
