Actually, we handled another panda transport project in addition to Ri Ri and Shin Shin!🐼 This Summer, Hankyu Hanshin Express (HK) supported the transportation of two pandas An An and Ke Ke from Chengdu, China, to "Ocean Park" - an amusement park in Hong Kong. This project is an important initiative led by the government as a symbol of friendship and carries great responsibility. We are proud to have been entrusted with such a significant mission. For this transport, we arranged three air-conditioned trucks for the necessary supplies and feed, as well as specialized cages. ✈Hankyu Hanshin Express supported the return transportation of 16 crested ibises (7 males and 9 females) from the Sado Japanese Crested Ibis Conservation Center in Niigata Prefecture, Japan to Beijing Capital International Airport in China! On October 30th, after completing quarantine, the 16 crested ibises left the Conservation Center at 4:20 p.m. and traveled by ferry from Ryotsu Port to Niigata Port. Then they arrived at Haneda Airport by truck at 5:30 a.m. on October 31st. After export customs clearance, they arrived safely in Beijing by air at 8:55 a.m. on time. To promote the protection and breeding of the endangered crested ibis, Japan needs to return half of the crested ibises provided by China based on a memorandum of understanding signed between the governments of Japan and China. This transport was the first export of crested ibis from Japan in eight years, since 2016. However, since beauty products are mostly liquids, proper packaging is required to prevent leakage. #WorldChildrensDay 👦The Hankyu Hanshin Dreams and Communities Challenge Troop 2024👧   On 31st July 2024, we have organized “Hankyu Hanshin Dreams and Communities Challenge Troop 2024”, a hands-on learning program for elementary school students, as part of the Hankyu Hanshin Dreams and Communities of the Future Project, which is presented as a social contribution initiative of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Group.   Under the theme "Let's learn about the work of customs clearance as a bridge to overseas!", 14 participants learned about customs clearance, a job that plays a part in international logistics, through a video and quiz. And then they had experienced the importation process, from calculating customs duties and preparing import (tax) declarations to receiving permission from customs, using the customs tariff and some documents required for customs clearance.   Through this experience, we believe that the participants were able to feel the importance of customs clearance as a bridge to and from overseas. #Hankyu #Hanshin #Express #Logistics #GlobalLogistics #Transport #Transportation

A truck with wings? There are various types of trucks for land transportation, but have you ever seen a wing body truck ? Wing body trucks are equipped with doors that can be fully opened and closed on both sides. They are called “ wing body trucks ” because the open doors look like wings. Wing body trucks are mainly used in Japan because most warehouses in Japan are low-floor type. Unlike regular trucks with doors in the rear, wing body trucks load cargo from the left and right sides of the truck, allowing forklifts to load cargo from the front to the rear of the truck without entering the truck bed.
