#MitsubishiMaterials has published “WITH MATERIALS” Vol. 11, its corporate communication magazine. The theme of this autumn issue features “Evolving Copper”. This volume focuses on “enhancing the supply of high-performance materials and products”. A panel discussion with employees from three production sites, in which participants discuss ways to improve cooperation between departments and sites, is also included in this magazine. The magazine covers the following contents and projects: - build trusting relationships with customers and expand sales of new products overseas - increase productivity through accelerated drilling in response to the demands of the mining industry - the secret of “sintering copper bonding material”, which is ideal for attaching power semiconductors due to its high electrical and thermal conductivity and high melting point. #MitsubishiMaterials has invested in #illuminus Inc., a #startup developing advanced #nanoparticle technology. Illuminus develops and manufactures metal and alloy nanoparticles using its proprietary “pulsed laser-induced reduction”. This technology uses #laser energy to directly reduce metal ions, enabling the synthesis of highly pure and uniform #nanoparticles. The absence of reducing agents reduces the #environmental impact and makes the manufacturing process #sustainable. The freely customizable physical properties of #nanoparticles should enable materials with advanced functions for #electronics, #catalysts and #medicine. #MMC invests in #illuminus to develop #environmentally friendly technologies for metal and alloy nanoparticles, provide materials, support synthesis processes and promote early market readiness and new applications.
