We stayed here as our first location when we arrived in Japan, and it was perfect. (We are a family of 4 with two teenagers). We stayed in two rooms in the main house in tatami rooms which were cool and comfortable (it is very hot and humid in July). Ken and his wife could not be more welcoming and helpful explaining the accommodation and surrounding restaurants and places of interest. They are all easily accessible from the house.

My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights in the loft villa. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed. The host met us as we arrived and gave us a full run down on the accommodation and local attractions with a detailed maps. The loft villa was perfect. Kitchenette, dining table, lovely bathroom, tatami room and upstairs loft space for sleeping. The stairs were quite steep but manageable. We (parents) slept upstairs and the children downstairs. It was well located in walking distance to train stations, 7 eleven, restaurants, Shintaikyo bridge and Toshogu Shrine. At the end of the stay the host took us and our luggage to the train station in 2 trips. This was a wonderful end to our stay in Nikko not having to worry about getting the luggage and children to the station. Thank you so much Stay Nikko Guesthouse ❤️
