Early this week, we convened a stakeholders' meeting in Viwandani, Makadara Sub-County, uniting key actors in the quest for safe food and better health. The spotlight was on DAT's impactful work promoting agroecology, organic food production, and nutrition education—with a special focus on NCD patients, mothers of young children, and lactating mothers. ✨ We engaged the officials of the newly formed Network for Safe Food and Health in Viwandani—a powerful grassroots platform to amplify community voices in advocating for access to safe, nutritious foods and better health. We remain committed to mobilizing more actors to promote synergies, strengthen collaboration, and enhance impact in the communities we serve. #OrganicFoodProject #Agroecology #ActonNCDS

🌿 Driving Change Through Community Dialogues! 🌿 This year, we've made community dialogues a game-changer in Viwandani! 💪🏽 Bringing together community members, health actors, and local authorities, we’ve sparked critical conversations on diabetes, NCDs, and nutrition education. Most importantly, we’ve emphasized the vital link between safely produced foods and human health. 🥗🍉 These sessions have provided a platform for residents to voice their challenges in accessing safe, nutritious food. With the support of the Department of Health, we’ve co-created solutions to address these issues, fostering a healthier, more informed community. 🙌🏽 Building a future where everyone can access healthy, safe food and live a life free from preventable diseases. #NutritionEducation #SafeFoodForHealth #ActOnNCDs #OrganicFoodProject
