Rural communities are often underserved, with 1 doctor serving almost 5,000 patients. I recently participated at the Africa HealthTech Summit - AHTS 2024 & the HealthTech Policy summit in #Kigali & was thrilled to speak about HealthX Africa at a #TED talk on how we are serving rural communities through the use of technology. Also honored to have been part of a great panel with Nicole Spieker of PharmAccess and Harrison Muiru of Smart Applications International Ltd (both are proud partners). Thank you Africa Health Business Daniella Munene for facilitating and of course Dr Amit N. Thakker for planting the seed. Also got to speak at Norrsken House and was amazed by the wonderful reception of the work we are doing by representatives from other African Countries. Don't worry, we are coming soon. Thank you Villgro & HealthTech HUB for facilitating. These events reinforced our thinking that 'Africanised' healthtech solutions are the only way of achieving SUSTAINABLE UHC and I am proud of what my team at HealthX Africa is doing. Collaborations will go a long way to achieving our goals. Kudos to Jean Philbert NSENGIMANA (FAPH) & Africa CDC for bringing together a coalition of partners and driving this agenda.
